  • Get well soon.

  • God bless.

My wife is recovering from her chemo two weeks ago, and her transplant that following monday. she's about three weeks into the whole process and it's rough & scary.

    Her sister was her donor.

to see her & our family in action visit our channel. Comments, ratings and subscriptions are greatly appreciated!

  • I've been registered for 5 years now, but I've never been contacted. Looks like matches are often rare to come by.

  • @rlga5 its 1:100 000 of finding an unrelated match. I just found my match, a 25 year old. My transplant is 1 dec. U are doing an amazing thing. U never know when u will get that call...

  • @simz2807 How was your transplant? Please follow up with us and let us know. We hope the healing process is fast and easy for you xoxo

  • Khanh is amazing, and very lucky to have friends like you!

it is beautiful that you made this serious message, cause I love your slap stick comedy too!

  • did they survive or are they gone?!

  • I was lucky. I am 25 years old. I am 15 months post bone marrow transplant. Even though I am struggling with graft versus host disease as a result of my transplant, I am thankful to be alive and have the opportunity to spend each day with the people I love. God bless and RIP

  • Sad to hear people so young die.

  • I am def. looking into this. I am deathly afraid of hospitals but this video just made me think of all my loved ones so thank you for opening up my eyes to see that i could possibly save a life in the future. Thank you !

  • You can just register and decide whether or not you want to save someone's life IF you get a call. Registering is easy. All you need to do is swab your cheek with a cotton swab. Register. It'll be worth it.

  • wow... many respects... this video definately needs to become a larger PSA for awareness.

  • i recently registered to donate bone marrow, found your channel through looking at other people who needed bone marrow. good stuff.

  • Yay for registering. We just had another bone marrow drive. Hopefully more people are matches.

  • RIP Khanh =(

  • This made me sad. Does a bone donor give bone marrow when they are alive?

  • WHen you register to be a potential donor, you are contacted if you are a match. The bone marrow transplant is fairly easy: During the surgery, you will be given anesthesia and have the liquid marrow taken out of the back of their pelvic bones.

  • There are other methods also. What are called Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplants. They take the stem cells out of your blood, which isn't painful (I am told). That is how my donor donated~

  • It is so nice of you trying to help people with these problem. This video was deep. I'm so sorry for Khanh and all those in his situation. Good Luck

  • Oh my god I wish that somehow science could help get rid of cancer I once had a little brother who was 6 years old, sadly passed away on 4/10/07 it was so hard seeing him pass away im only 17, and so far I know im like mexican & who knows what else I mean we don't really search for our roots as much as other races do but I hope Khanh is with jesus now R.I.P. Enrique G. (A.K.A. Kike) we miss you and we love you little man.

  • ~RiP! KaRL (i LoVe U FaM) Died of Cancer Oct,11,2008~ ....My heart goes out to everyone suffering.

  • i Donated Bone Marrow...(4the NBMP in Minnesota)....& im VERY RELUCTANT to tell anyone not to help another. ....i supposably SAVED THE LIVES of two(2)young children...& have been messed up every since. "RELENTING PAIN" ect. Though the worse is when yA loose ya JOB & the ability to Do certain JOBS...& did i mention THE PAIN???? They tell you "JUST DEAL WiTH iT"...& they keep LYiNG to you....get there LAWYER to send you a letter, then turn there back on YOU! Becareful what yal VOLUNTEER 4! .

  • First, I'm sorry for your loss, secondly, I am envious that you got the opp to save two lives. You were clearly an allogeneic match but the process you experienced was probably done with OLD procedures. Bone marrow transplant procedures today can be done through filtering out the white blood cells-that help fight infections and to aid in the immune system-by drawing blood from one arm and returning the rest to the opposite. It's like drawing blood and most of us do that already!

  • I will register now. I am not asain, but I would definately help someone if I could. This video really touched me.

  • We encourage everyone to register!

  • RIP Khanh Vo. 9/22/08

  • GodBless Them

  • Anyone that does anything less than commend these two hardworking, intelligent & compassionate ladies on this video and the other work they've done, seriously needs to give themselves a gut check. What kind of person are you? You're probably that guy I passed sleeping on the park bench that wakes up to throw rocks at kids. I'm sure these ladies carried their message across and hopefully everyone can help pass on the knowledge you've been given. There is a shortage and the AADP needs donors.

  • wish I were asian...I would give them my marrow...I hope they find doners...

  • i'm so sorry to here this i'm african american so unfortunately nothing i can do. but i think it was so thoughtful of you two to make this video to inform people. i hope you doing this leads you to a match for both khanh and michelle.

  • well im not asian, but i am going to be joining the registry in the next few months, and i am in the proccess of the paper work and all. goodluck with everything.

to me, the most important thing to do in life is to help others and save a life, if i can donate blood, then bone marrow can go too.

  • btw, what ethnicity is Michelle?

  • It might be a good idea to explain what is involved for ppl to become a donor. Like what kind of operation is involved. This might put ppl's mind at ease and make them more willing to donate (or maybe not) Of course the best would be to visit the country of their parents/grandparents origin to find more donors. Hope they and others in need of a transplant, succeed.

  • failed

  • Please save michelle and khan's lives... though I dont know them they need another chance to live.Saving some one else's life is very rewarding.

    ~TJ

  • i almost cried. i sincerely hope they get the transplants. i'm caucasian... so i'm helpless.

  • I wish you guys all the luck in the world!

  • I wish you guys all the lucky in the world!

  • best wishes 4 gettin a transplant

  • omg that is some deep shit, only whanted to see some girls dancing. good luck with that marrow thing anyway.

  • Random Update:

After 6 weeks of searching... Team Michelle has registered over 9,430 new people. Unfortunately, we still haven't found a match for Michelle. Please help us with our search! = )

  • that's your opinion. in any case WTF? HORRIBLE place to air your thoughts on tattoos, at least f*cking contribute to the topic. these are lives she's talking about, contribute for or against or stfu. this is a serious issue for many people, and if someone decides to be a donor there is almost zero risk to yourself and you could forever change a person's life for the better. please educate yourselves on marrow donation and decide for yourselves if you can help. good luck.

  • man a hope you dudes get a match peace

    todd8137

    uk

  • does it hurt when u transfer bone marrow?

  • No. If you are indeed a match, and proceed with the transplant, what you do is take a pill to get the stem cells more prominent in your blood. Then one tube will be stuck into the vein of your right arm, where blood will come out. Then, the stem cells will be filtered out, and the blood is immediately returned through the same tube back into the vein of your left arm. Overall, the amount of blood is less than if you were to give blood and just as painful as giving blood.

  • My love to both Khan and Michelle.I hope you find a match. As a plasma and platelet donor.. I find the gift of life so rewarding. I am also registered with the unrelated bone marrow donor program here in Canada.I am always recruiting people so that likes of Khan and Michelle have a chance. Com on people and sign up NOW. People out there need you. Your friend from Canada......

  • I would help if I was old enugh.

  • a video my roommates and i made as a message for michelle (our actual close and dear friend): v=cYP06p6d288

thank you all for your support and remember to please get your friends and family to register if they've yet to.

  • Good luck in finding what you all need for all of this. I will hold a space in prayer for your cause.

Thanks, TOO, for the information (waving wit' thumbs up & a smile).

  • There are a lot of Asian bone marrow donors needed. I lost two friends because of this. Please help I am alive because I found a donor. Not related but matched. I am of Greek and English origin I was lucky to find a donor. Please I plead to the Asian community HELP!

  • I really admire you guys and love your styles and personalities

it says a lot about you that you make this video and shows a whole different side to both of you

it really moved me and i hope so much khanh and michelle find donors. dont give up!!!!

  • cl bn

  • I can donor if you like but I'm not asian, I hope I can, let me know please

  • All of the negative comments are coming from two specific areas...

Female- Either your fat, ugly, 500lbs, uneducated, racist, inbred, low self-esteem, envious, could never, EVER look like them, kind of person.

Male- (See above) However could never GET a girl that looked like them.

Either way. ALL you haters are PATHETIC.

  • I'm so sorry I'm not Asian! I would always give to people in need in any way I can. I'll call up my Asian friends and bother them to donate. That would probably get you 4 people if possible!

  • We need to inform more Asian people and minorities. White people weren't mentioned, but they're not a minority.

  • god i wish i could help, positive karma being sent your way

  • subscribe to me i have tasty vids,..

  • Those are all asians. What about us white people that are in need?

  • Khanh and Michelle NEVER EVER GIVE UP!!! Many are behind you!

  • and compassion.

  • everyone in this country is an ethnic minority, so all you haters should not say anything if you can't say something positive. learn tolerance.

  • I am a donor and would love to help but I am not Asian. That sucks people sign up save a life.

  • Stay strong Khanh and Michelle ! Never give up !!!

  • These people really need help! I care... but no one else does.

  • I cant believe people are that heartless to post neg. comments when these humans need help to stay alive. God bless you both and I pray you find a doner!!! We all need to stop the hate.

  • Petty, wouldn't you hope that their cause gets every possible bit of attention? (regardless of the reason) wouldn't you hope that this video gets viewed as much as possible? Maybe a hundred people will click on it just with the intention of checking out her tatoo and then maybe they'll watch the whole video and sign up. Can you just get off the entire topic of her tattoo and focus on the good they are doing by speading the word about the register

  • you might want to go american medical outsourcing. they hellp people with things like this and i no they have partners in Asia. good luck...best wishes

  • Awesome video! I hope it gets these women some bone marrow!

  • Hope you find a match!

  • "I'm hott, give my friends bone marrow."

  • donating bone marrow is so excruciating, it's unamaginable.

they stuck a large tube, while you are fully conscience, and stick it in your hip or thiegh bone i believe, and literally suck the marrow from your bone.

but after all, it's worth it.

i would, but i'm not ethnic.

  • ouch :(

  • They use a strong anesthetic during the procedure. My uncle donated bone marrow and likened it to falling on ice and badly bruising his hip. It aches for a few weeks but that's it.

Fear of pain is not the issue here. There is nothing to lose by joining the Marrow Registry. Most people will never get called, and just think if you are a match then you have the potential to save a life.

  • I wonder if she cared before it struck her friends.

  • I'm one of the twins in this video. Caring is what I see to, and that is why I am a nurse. So yes, we both cared before our friends were diagnosed with this form of blood cancer, and we have been registered.

  • well I still consider them to be the motive since it's based upon them.

  • I agree. Khanh and Michelle's cancer was one of the many motives on why we wanted to make this video for raising awareness of a blood cancer not many people have heard of (gamma/delta t-cell lympho-proliferative disorder(LPD); a form of lymphoma that is extremely fatal, aggressive, and RARE).

  • I would but im not asian -_-

  • wish i could help

  • I had a friend that diea of luekemia. Why do people have to get sick and die?

  • because you live and die its part of the circle of life

    sorry bout your friend

  • Wow very well done , i hope more asian americans get themself regesitered

  • its wooody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish I were Asian I would have helped. Poor kids :/

  • Huh, I had no idea about any of this. Good to know.

  • THEY ARE HOT,

  • You're sick the girls are talking about a serious illness and you just wank.

  • yes i do.

  • I wish them both a second chance ...........

  • oh my gosh

    that is so sad

if i was asian id give them as much bone marrow as they needed

i really wish i could help

  • It just goes to show how important these things truly are.

  • Thats so sad :( i hope everything works out for you and your friends

  • Go kill yourself vanhalenking...

  • wow...does she still play on tall celeb site:" Tallmingle.c om "? Many fans of her know this thing.seems it is not a break news there.

  • nice video. I donated bone marrow myself in 2003

  • dont know what to say guys.., upsetting

  • You have have my deepest sympathies, and I wish you people all well. But way do put this on youtube, I really cant figure that out. What do you expect from this vid, thusens of people die everyday while waiting or don't find a donner at all. It's tragic it have to be that way, and dont foget to give people around the world who live in even worse condition to have the same rights. "One for all, all for one". All people must have iquell rights

  • thats sad

  • you should check the country of their orgin, maybe you can find a match in tieland, or vietnam ,or where ever their roots are,its a chance...i am a white man or i would try .

good luck , i pray you make it

  • Wow, I hope this works, your friends are great for doing this but you may need better spokes models. Not this lip rings

  • God bless live a little longer, just in time, god saved them

  • I hope they find doners.

  • This is the saddest shit man, I hate having to see the side of life facing reality and stupid shit the world can definately do without, like terminal illness. My deepest sympathies to these brave souls.

  • I feel ya.

My mom is a bone marrow coordinator. She finds matches for people in need. Unfortunately the marrow registry for ethnic minorities is low, as you mentioned. Wish I was Asian to help you out :(

EVERYONE SHOULD REGISTER TO BE A DONOR! SAVE A LIFE!

  • I would help but I'm not Asian. I grew up with Asian and respect them as my brothers and sister. Good Luck and Much Love

  • what a heart-breaking situation.. i encountered a lot of people suffering from this kind of disease that needs a bone marrow transplant.. still, they keep on praying that someday they cud get their match and live again like the ordinary people they used to be..

  • im under 18, can i still apply?

it's too close to june 21..

  • I showed your video to my wife who is 25 like Michelle and 100% Chinese. She just registered at AADP for the home kit since we live in Colorado. We both wish your friends the best and hope by her registering she will be able to save a life.

  • good luck

  • I've lost friends in the past due to illnesses like these, and these days I find I want to help whenever possible. Please tell them I said good luck and my heartfelt wishes go out to them. Being strong through hard times is what will get them through this, and it's obvious their loved ones are generous and wonderful people. <3

  • I wish you the best of luck with this! Innocent people don't deserve this.

  • good luck, sorry to hear about your friends.

  • I'm a registered donor. Its super easy. They prick your finger & you fill out some paperwork. They send you a card to keep, so that everyone knows you are a donor. Your bone marrow info goes into a database & they will contact you if you are a match with someone. I really wish I'd get the call. Best of Luck to your friends. GOD's Blessings.

  • It's a lot easier today than getting your finger pricked! To register, four samples of your saliva [one on each corner of your mouth-two top, two bottom] is collected. You have a reat heart ilovemickeymost

  • Its so neat they can do it without pricking your finger now. I just realized my phone number needs to be updated in my registry. B/c of your site, I can give them the correct information. Thanks

  • So, they want asians to give their bone marrows to THEIR friends so THEIR friends can live??

  • No, we are encouraging for more people to register. Those who register and are not matches for Khanh and Michelle will remain on the list and hopefully be able to save another life or many lives.

  • I wish you the best of luck in finding your donor match.

  • Fake!

  • I am currently being treated for a rare form of lymphoma. I will be getting a bone marrow transplant in late July. However, among the millions in the national registry, I do not have a match. My own stem cells were harvested and I will be getting an autologous transplant. Thank you for this video and whoever reads this, please consider joining the registry.

  • BrandonGreyXX you are disgusting

  • Wow, I had no idea...... I gonna check out the web site and see what I can do :)

    Thanks for the eye opener.

  • wow man you are fucking pathetic. I would rather let a homeless man covered in his own shit live in my home besides your racist ass. You racist bastards are all a waste of air. If we should be killing anyone and harvesting their bone marrow it would be you racist bastards. At least then YOU would be useful for something...but then again who wants some trailer trash, racist mother fucker's marrow in them?

  • fuck you. its not a game its a disease. and as for being racist i find that so uterly and completely disgusting. Have your opinion but dont try to victomize others.

  • why in the world are ppl so cruel.Everyone deserves to live. and i hope that yours friends make it. i truly wish you good luck.thanks for spreading awareness

p.s any ass holes laughing at this video this is life of death and good luck with your karma

  • This Oct 14 I will be 20 years post BMT, I feel for you and your frends. keep up the spirit and the best of luck. Always remember people survive from a BMT every day .

  • w w w. simpleecks . com/forums

  • Good luck to you and your friends. I'll be thinking of you and send your video to my Asian friends.

  • As of July 2007 there are 1,321,851,888 Chinese people in China alone.

  • not for you.

  • there arent BILLIONS of asians. there are only 6 billion people on the planet

  • really there are 1 billion in china that means there are at least 1 billion i thought you people were good at math

  • You are correct in that there is around 6.6 billion people on the planet. If we have 1.3+ billion Asians in China and over a billion in India, that makes billionS of Asians.

  • I just went to give blood today and asked about the bone marrow matching program. I'm going to sign up, and as soon as I move to the United States I'll also register with the American Blood association. I've become a regular donor and plan to keep it that way.

The best of luck to your friends and I hope they find a match soon.

  • This is a very sad video! I f I was Asian I would help you out but I'm not sorry! God bless you! People need to open their eyes and help one another out and stop all the hate in this world. We are all in this together. Good luck to you in your fight and may God be with you!

  • too bad I'm not asian.

  • wow this is scary...what if this happens to me...i am half asian...

  • I like the chick with the tats and blonde hair

  • You heartless, terrible person. I hope you get a rare disease and die painfully and slowly. Serves you right.

  • i hope that michelle makes it same with that other guy..... i hope u guys pull through this and make it, ur in my prayers and maybe people can get cures from this disease. god bless u two and others around the world.

  • It's about time YouTube featured a video about the Organ Shortage! I am sending you my love and positive energy. If you need me to do anything specific... please contact me. I'm a two time organ transplant survivor.

  • I had a BMT for CML (Leukemia) in Dec. 1991. My donor lived on the west coast, I lived on the east coast. I am a male, my donor was a woman. Please register, the risk to the donor is so slight, and for that little discomfort, a life can be saved. My children certainly were happy their father did not die. Please register. Please help.

  • My dad had CML aswel, and was lucky enough to find a donor in Germany.

He didnt make it in the end, but Im grateful for the extra time we had in the end.

I wish u all the best with your children

  • im not Asian, but i wish you well and good luck.

  • :( I was ready to register and checked the health requirements and found out I can't-- I have bulging discs in my back, which disqualifies me. I wish I could help directly, so I'm going to post this where ever I can instead. I'll keep you two in my prayers.

  • I am prayin for all of you!!!!!!!

  • Wish I could help. you girls are HOT!!

  • Good luck guys

  • Good luck people.

  • Fuck off, she didn't say that other people of diffrent races didn't need help.

  • I would so do that for you but i think i cant cuz im not asian! dang ima cry now!

  • i'd donate my bone to those twins

  • Does blood type have anything to do with it?

I'm 0-, so anyone can accept my blood, but I don't know about bone marrow.

  • Im AB+, and mixed with black, latino, amerindian, Irish, and Asian. I know it hurts like a bitch, but id do it.

  • This brought me to tears. Though,

i am not asian, I am hispanic. Maybe I can help save someone else.

  • im sorry i cant help ur friends out.i really hope they find some1 so that they can have a full life.

    best wishes

  • the deserve to have donnors... they need help.

  • thats very sad

  • some of you seriously need to think before you type in here

  • God damn it, why do i have to be white, makes me wish i could help these guys :(

  • You can always help other people, even by donating blood or plasma.

  • Got the same thing, my doctor said I have a year to live if I don't find a donor. after searching a database of 20,000,000 people they didn't even find one that matches lol.

    Hope you get well guys!

  • did you find any matches other than 6/6? From my understanding, 4/6 or 5/6 would be the last resort if time is limited. Goodluck with your search hyperrab. I am trying my hardest to get the word out.
