@GUSTAVnordwiking Fu Hok is great. Personally I prefer Ng Ying Kuen (through the Tang Fong lineage). Where do you train and what is your lineage? Do you have any video clips of your Fu Hok form? I would love to see how you play it.
@GUSTAVnordwiking Master Li Hon Ki has well known lineages in both his Hung Ga (Lam family) and his Wing Chun (Ip Man). Does your school compete in full contact competitions? If yes, I'm curious as to how your school trains for either San Da (San Shou) kickboxing, or Lei Tai - these are the two amateur full contact sports near NYC.
@NewYorkHungGa Here classes are taught Hung Gar (five animals), Tai chi chuan, San Da, Lion Dance, Nan Quan, Chang Quan and Fu Hok. But I have never been interested to learn wing chun. I have not uploaded a video. I will contact you. for you to see my Fu Hok form. We have a large-scale competition in March and will be filmed.. Best wishes brother.
@GUSTAVnordwiking Good luck to you and your school in the March Competition. I look forward to seeing your video. Feliz Ano Nuevo mi hermano, Si-Hing Yui Chow.
thats not hung gar, thats some kind of modern street sanshou.... kicks are to high for hung gar, blocks are absorbing al the hit, not just deflecting and twisting the body to use the force of the atacker to use it to counter hit it or apply technique, hung gar is very rich in movements, stances, da, tui, na, shuai.. there were just a sporty sparring, not hung gar...
@lkcdgc "New York Hung Ga" is the name of our school, "San Da kickboxing sparring demo" is the name of the video clip, (2009) is the year it was filmed; ergo "New York Hung Ga San Da kickboxing sparring demo (2009) is the title of this YouTube clip. I'm glad you are so well versed in Hung Ga.
not hung gar.
