It took me slightly more than a hour to finish off 6 dogs. But I made 2 big mistakes. One was adding toppings on the dog. I had 3 sets of dogs. i figured that the change of flavors wouldn't deaden the palate, thereby making every 2 dogs to be fresh. The second mistake was by the time I got to the 5th and 6th dogs, they were cooled down. i didn't figure temperature into the equation. I plan to go back to make 10.
Congrats! I was in Spike's on January 10th and downed the 6 dogs in 63 minutes. Theory is that I would've eaten more had I ordered the dogs plain. I had lots of cheese and bacon on mine. My theory is that the flavor of the dog (while awesome!) can get a bit sickening after a while. So I ordered 3 sets of 2 dogs toppings wise.
I saw your pic up there and I am like, "There's no way in hell I can do that!".

Insanity at work here. Seriously, that's an accomplishment of epic proportions.
The dogs weren't the problem so much, as the buns looked humongous.
Yer the King baby, King Dog of the Kennel Club. If you haven't patted your own back today, do it, do it NOW.
