I think Maggie built up Jonas as an idealized Prince and is shocked that he "failed" her. Maybe now she'll realize he's human and flawed just like the rest of us and not expect him to be her idealized hero, but someone who is fighting very hard against all odds in what seems to be an impossible fight.
