Oblivion is everything you could possibly come to expect from a video game. In my book I would consider it a masterpiece on a level that only a few other games could be found. Bethesda makes games with so much attention detail, content, and precision that paying full price from other games causes me to feel cheated.

I would recommend this game to anyone who would enjoy building their character. The options are limitless, just take in mind that there is an enormous amount of land to explore. The catch is, it would depend on how you build your character, which would determine if you will be able to proceed deeper into certain areas of the game. I really enjoyed this game very much, and the endless projects you can find yourself doing along the way.

@PhantomOfCaldia -- Don't be so sure. Oblivion is a VERY different game to DA:O and ME2. Personally I found the poor acting and the lack of character interaction to be a deal-breaker for me... however for most players this is more than made up for with the sand-box open style play. If you thought DA:O could be different each time you played it, Oblivion is even more diverse. Each to their own.

@sogandik Go get it dude. This was my first game for the xbox 360 back in 2006 and its my favorite game of the last 10 years. If you just now heard of Oblivion I'm pretty sure you have never heard of Morrowind. You should pick it up, its the prequel to Oblivion.

For people who are still asking questions. I would recomend this game to any one. This game has been out for around four years. From then two expansion packs have been launched. If you have an Xbox and you want the expansion packs you it would be wise to buy the game of the year addition.

On another level, this is a very open game and yes, you can die. You can choose what you say to people and on some points, whether they live after they do not amuse you -if you are evil, that is.

@hazelbays just started oblivion and although finding it a bit tricky, its superb. i usually find rpgs a little tricky at first but find that if i stick with it for a few hours it gets better and this is no exception. amazing game. btw i did put dragon age in and have a look and i must admit i dont really like the look of it. i hate games where its all about going through doors if that makes sense and im sure that dragons age isnt just that but that was my first impression of it.

Fable 2 is more vibrant and action packed, but in the end it's way too short, doesn't allow nearly enough character customization/specialization, and has no big boss fights. Therefore Oblivion wins.
