on a recent 1 hr visit in a DHS facility room with a two way mirror - my 8 yr old grandson was telling me about something at school / between himself and another student and a teacher. I said to him: Always speak the truth - don't say what you THINK someone wants to hear. Always speak the truth - from your heart.
At this point - a DHS Agent burst in and advised "That is not appropriate talk."
THIS is what foster kids witness ... at the hands of DHS Agents.. So VERY sad . . .
One solution might be to permit grandmothers to have their grandchildren. By the time these children spend their life in foster care - they are no no shape to be normal members of society. They are fit only to become lifetime "clients" for some other social agency.
My 3 grandsons are in this foster care system - and the court has BANNED me from all contact. I am viewed as a threat ... for no other reason than I speak truth, and encourage the boys to do the same.
