If there were colonies on the moon couldn't you see them through a telescope? How do you think a rocket was launched without anyone seeing or hearing it? And possibly the greatest question of them all: what would be the point of covering it up?
I remember I was actually standing right next to the rover. and leaning on one of the wheels in Houston, TX. I was at a USFirst 2009 Competition and i also saw two models of the rockets that is going to take it up to space.

weapons on a lunar rover wouldn't really have an impact do to it's relative small size, however, a lunar missile base would be bad

i cant believe how little of ground clearance, lack of suspension and the tires... their either going to get stuck or driving on roads...lol
