They're building a new one themed to Peter Jackson's kong film.

The attraction will be rebuilt based on Peter Jackson's King Kong and it wont even contain a new animatronic Kong, the whole thing will be some sorta 3-D attraction, kinda disappointing.

They released a statement went the building burnt down that the structure will be rebuilt but a new and ,ore exciting ride will be placed inside. Sorry, it was a good ride too.

Actually in the "story" of the ride those aren't news choppers with the machine guns but rather police or military forces attacking Kong.

This was one of the greatest things created by the hand of man. I've only been on Kongfrontation in Florida, but it was the evolution of the Hollywood ride. The news footage just blows my mind. I'm a kid again in line in New York City for King Kong...
