The battery is magnetically attatched. It has about the same diameter as the steam tank, so I just removed one end of the steam tank and that is where the battery is placed. A 3v battery should last about 1 hour constantly powered on.
Pretty simple actually. The two rods that come out of the LED was all the wiring I used.
Two important details. Pewter will conduct and if any wiring touches the model directly, the light will not turn on. I have this problem now, I only used electric tape instead of shrink wrap and it must have come undone inside and now it won't light up. Gotta take it apart and do it right.
The other part is rather tricky. The negative (I'm not certain right now, let's say the flat side) is touching a neodinium magnet, that is conductive and will pass the current along to the flat side of the battery that is on the other side of the magnet. The positive wire is a tiny little rod sticking out the back of the WJ. I then use a small piece of metal from a soda cracker can to connect the positive side to the positive rod.
I prefer Warmachine too. It's so much more intuitive. But sometimes I want to enjoy a large-scale battle that just takes too long in WM. I also believe that PP models are far superior to GWs but GW seems to be getting it's act toegether.
I havn't played any large WM battles, I've played a couple of battlebox sized games at a friends house, and its great fun.
Ordered my own Battlebox yesterday to be honest, can't wait to kick some ass, Cygnar style.
Both PP and GW models are awesome, if PP would make plastic kits with extra parts that always comes with GW plastic kits, PP would stomp their asses flat.
Plastic would also mean lower prices, wich in turn would make more people interessed, and the hobby would grow even more.
Plastic is great but IDK, I like metal. Although plastic is much easier to work with and bonds better, I like the feel of metal minis. I like what you can do with the modular plastic models, but there are details that just don't work with plastic. That's why many companies stay away, to those not really that into the modelling itself it goes unnoticed, but the plastic material just doesn't add up sometimes. But anyway, PP has already lauched it's first plastic set. They are for Menoth.
That is really awesome man.

Where is the battery? Is it glue to the model? What happen when its empty and you have to change it?

@gargamel6699 Oh yeah now I saw you taking the battery off and on in the video. Cool!

You are insane, sir. That is cool.

what were the parts that you used to make the light? did you have to use any resisters and what did you use for a battery?

@gargamel6699
I then decorate the piece of metal and battery to look like part of the steam tank.
let me know if this helps.

Nice mod. Are the rules for this game like Warhammer?
xxxpistolpetexxx 2 years ago
Yeah, sort of. I play both but you can be way more creative in warmachine.

I've played a fair amount of Warhammer, and the amount of rules, you must have a bigass fuckin book to play it.
Privateer Press have a 6 page quickstart rules pdf file that you can download from their website.
I prefer Warmachine over Warhammer any day of the week.
