Actually John Wilkes Booth WAS trapped in a barn by soldiers and WAS shot in the back of the neck severing his spinal cord. He died two hours later. The barn was set fire to get him out of it. He did NOT burn to death. I should know i had to do a report on it.

this is how it realy happened there was a hole in the wale and the assasin was spying and waiting for the gaurd to leave. when the gaurd got destracted by the show and went to take a look then he slipped into the room shot aberham lincon's booth and shot him in the head with a revolver and jumped 2 storys breaking or sprayning his ankle. licoln died later
