Because, as an Oasis fan I'm sure you know, he doesn't sing he shouts in tune and with his neck bent meaning that he stretches his vocal chords really badly. Still, I think he sounds immense here; far better than 'artists' these days.

Think about it as progression rather than just Oasis splitting up like when McCartney formed Wings, and Lennon did his own thing with Yoko. I'm upset that Oasis are gone and I never got to see them, but I think it's a good thing that we've got two musical gods doing their own things now.

i remember after be here now album oasis took a break.. a then they came back with standing on the shoulder of giants album, and they doone the first live gig on TV in years to premote the album, me and my band mates were sat in the garage with bevies and a litttle tele waiting for our favourite band to come back..
and i heard liams vocals and i couldnt believe it,, i said straight away he cant sing no more..we were all shocked and disapointed.. after the be here now album he lost his voice.

@quickmantan the gig broadcasted on telly was the second night, after liam had been out on the piss all night before with er, mel c. i'm not saying it's professional but it makes me chuckle. i think the first night, the one recorded for the the dvd/cd, is unreal. proper rock n roll, great live vocal throughout and just one of the best atmosphere's captured on live cd (in my opinion). since then, it's up and down. for instance, lyla manchester 2005, you can't argue with it.
