Creationism and evolution could be one in the same. The only difference is time. Technically, evolution to the point of Adam and Eve in our time/space dimension may seem long but in the bible it states God is in a dimension of no time. So creation (his time or lack of) and evolution (our time). Adaptation is different from evolution. Adaptation can explain different races and even species within a closed system based on regions, climate, diet etc.

Creationism and evolution could be one in the same. The only difference is time. Technically, evolution to the point of Adam and Eve in our time/space dimension may seem long but in the bible it states God is in a dimension of no time. So creation (his time or lack of) and evolution (our time). Adaptation is different from evolution. Adaptation can explain different races and even species within a closed system based on regions, climate, diet etc.

This is due to the fact that religions are formed based off of the standards of the culture in a time period and some practitioners will apply those standards and values to later time periods when knowledge (hopefully) has increased, leading to such events as my high school biology teacher last year teaching creationism instead of evolution.
Yes, people did directly do it, but only because of religion.
