  • i was 12. we all sound hopped up on japanese candy when we're excited at that age. :D

  • no offense but you sound like your hopped up on japanesse candyXD

  • who the heck is making this video? it sounds like a little 12 year old!

  • @Trasgado

well i was 13 when i made it soo...good job?

  • @ninjahanabi - Ha! I thought the age correctly.. well close anyways

  • ooo how i miss japan soo much!

  • baka gaijin (stupid foreigner) don't be loud in japan and try to blend in.

  • free the midgets inside the vending machines. say YES to equal rights

  • :) that machines are everywhere... japan for life:)

  • You will never see those kinds of machines in the U.S. due to vandalism, graffiti, and lawyers.

  • 46 second documentary. Nice.

  • LOL. Good commentary.

  • when i moved to Okinawa in 2006 the locals told me that the main way to tell when winter had begun was to check the vending machines. The machines would have all cold drinks one day, then the next day there would be 2-3 shelves of nothing but hot drinks. I'd have to say that c.c. lemon and the apple tea were my favorites. and you got much more drink for your money over there.

  • @toxotaiofsparta lol, even though it never drops below 60 degrees, and i have to agree i like c.c. lemon but would rather have the milk teas, their dank !

  • Coffee machines used to be a lot more common in the US back in the late 70s/early 80s. I loved to watch them as a kid. They'd drop a little cup then fill it up. You could get coffee, hot chocolate, and hot instant chicken noodle soup in the ones I remember from rest areas. Interesting machines you captured!

  • Yeah...I remember them. They got rid of ours because of vandalism and the number of late/all night stores that opened up.

  • hmmm I like the ones that sell liquor

    bu they're usually in hotels

  • Part of the benefits of not having these automated vending sites in America is to help secure jobs. Also, vending machines don't seem to allow peopel to read the product labels.

  • No, they all the ones in America got vandalized. You remember, during the last 10 years as your country went to shit.

  • on my way home from vietnam we stopped by japan and i got a coke from one of those thingfs

  • I had yakisoba (item on right at 0:42) from a vending machine in Miyako. Not bad at all. Don't know if I could say the same for the dogs though! XD

  • Quite an intelligent comment.

You must be so proud of yourself.

  • That made NO sense at all.

    You fail =.=

  • lol OMG LOL that vending machine's has so many opionions i have to buy everything haha.

  • LoL pretty much vending machines. there is also much vending machines in Finland and also some machines what gives paper in toilets :D now you can even buy some fucking pizza with your phone xD but who would buy pizza from machine? it must taste like crap

  • well, what i actually said is that "we (as in america) don't serve coffee in vending machines" (the camera is REALLY old so the sound doesn't pick up very well). i would actually have actually liked it if they did since it wasn't normal at the time. the only vending machines that were widely used in america in 2005 were ones that only served cold drinks, while this one served both cold milkshakes and hot coffee in the same machine.

  • i had coffee from a vending machine yesterday lol

  • you said that coffee isn't supposed to b in vending machines, we have coffee in machines in america now

  • japan is waaay more technologically advanced then america . in japan they actually have cell phones that you could use like a credit card . when you buy something at a store you just scan this thing on your cell phone and there you go , you just bought it . like what the hell , why dont we have that in the u.s. my friend had a jap exchange student at her house before and the girl's cell made the one's here in the u.s look like crap . her cell was sooooo cool i was jealous .

  • that cellphone thing is in many places actually but it's not so good idea because kids use their parents money when they buy something with cellphone. visa electron and other cards are better than phones :D

  • Do you think that because Japan has a relatively small land area, they can institute wide scale change quickly across the country, to constantly stay technologically advanced?

  • you should be very very fat

  • I'm not fat, if that's what you're saying (but I doubt you are).

    So what do you mean?

  • If you it all those vending machines

  • man, Japanese people are really creative, some of those vending machines look a little complicated to use. lol

  • no thier no lol :P made to be simple just kinda weird looking :P

  • ohhh.....i guess their language written on it only makes it look complicated. :O i probably wouldn't have a clue if i were getting a soda or cup of coffee (yuck!) or something! lol

  • they usually put the coffee machines in a different place than the soda ones and have a different look and structure to them. They also have a lot written in English as well as Japanese (most Japanese are taught to be bilingual), so you should be able to tell. And the pictures on the buttons are very clear.

    So don't worry.

  • ahh, i see. thanks for clearing that up! ^_^

  • we have a condom vending machine at my school.......

  • really

  • do a serch for {Machine Red} on youtube.

  • They have coffee machines in America, they are at my mall.

  • even in Australia, where I live, I have seen Tuna in a vending machine

  • wow. that's pretty kool. america doesn't have many interesting things in vending machines...just soda and chips -___-|||

  • no way. i liv in australia. we like hav vending machines like rarely and theres just like fizzy drinks.

  • no ive seen: snacks, condoms (LOL), nappys, lighters, coffee, cigs, beer, phone cards, car cleaning stuff, dvds, candy, toys, matches, photo printing, tampons tissues and medicine

    and im australian

  • You can also get porn and dirty panties from vending machines in japan, wierd.

  • yehhh right

  • seriously

you can. they have a bunch of them.

  • @AbortedBoy That was made illegal two decades ago. Apparently, westerners still like to think they still have it in Japan.

  • Thats a bigass documentary ;D

  • What the fuck I wish the U.S.A had that shit god damn our country sucks balls!!!!

  • lol i bet you just realized that Asian countries are much more advanced than any other countries. Americans are just more civilized [: im Korean/American

  • Vending machines would help our struggling economy

  • lol, the economic benefits would be huge.

  • Vending machines almost force you to spend money if you dont belive me got wait in a hospital waiting room with a vending machine, sit in front of it and then see what happens.

  • americans are more civilized..

    HAH

    GOOD ONE BUDDY, GOOD ONE

  • HAHAHA

  • If the U.S. is so great, why don't we have vending machines like that here?

  • i know what you mean >.<

i think i like japan better. if the US had even a ramen vending machine, or maybe a milkshake one, i think i would be happy... >.<

  • There was a coffee machine at my college, but they took it away. ;_____; It served hot chocolate. *o*

  • oooooo that must suck >.< i had a hot chocolate machine at my school, and they took that away...it even had a mocha frapaccino-like thing too >.< *sob* oh well...maybe we'll get something close to those vending machines one day...

  • The one i saw also used to have a mocha farppaccino maker, although i was mostly into the hot chocolate. ;______;

  • Do you what even SUCKS MORE!! They took out the vending machines at the park right next to my school, so I can't just walk over to the park on the way home and grab a Pepsi!!

  • In Australia they're pretty much trying to ban sweets and nice food at canteens (or as you say in the U.S cafeterias).

Also we have no vending machines at schools D:<

  • well they do at my school and im Australian

  • OAO really?

    You're lucky then =3=

we can't even bring our own soft drink because we get so "hyperactive" or some crap like that.

where I live they'll do anything to cover up the fact that our teachers are incompetent.

  • well we do at our school and im in Australia

  • sorry I posted twice

  • But does the milkshake come with an In-N-Out Double-Double and a smile? Sry for those deprived of such delish, In-N-Out its a western US thing, a glorious thing that pwnd's MckD and your precious vending machines.

Then again, I eat Pop Tarts from a vending machine. Who am I to dis?

  • yeah, but that's a restaurant/fast food place, not a vending machine. if we were going to compare those, japan would probably pwn too (they have shrimp burgers, for one thing).

  • haha! true that. anyways i love how japan has cold AND hot drinks...like hot/cold chocolate along with all that other cool stuff. haha its love! ^^

  • did you find a porno vendig machine in japan.

    i did

  • wow...that's odd...interesting...but odd. i did find a vending machine for underwear and liquor...but that's about it >.<

  • love this!!!!!!!

  • SuperSuperのローカル市場!

  • Convient for people the "localvendingmachine" LOL

  • There is 1 vending machine for every 22 people(roughly) in Japan. So yeah, they're everywhere. xD;

  • Haha, me and my BF are heading to japan, and we're going to live off the vending machines!

  • Goodluck! XD lol
