Two good points, but machine pistols are virtually useless in real world situations. I recently shot a Glock 18c that just seemed worthless, and I love all guns. I think ultimately it was (HK's decision) about keeping the hand held version strictly semi-auto as a means of control for interested purchasing agents. As far as the 93R forward folding grip, you are absolutely right... That thing makes that pistol.
@WatchRyder The stock is the whole point of the weapon. You gain tremendous accuracy with this stock. I've fired both the 93R and VP70, and the Beretta stock is junk. Cool thing about this HK is that they aren't restricted under NFA in the US when without the stock. The stock is essentially the auto-sear.
is the 3rnd burst on the stock just a way its selected and you can mod sometihng up to shoot it or does it have to be a vp 70 m setup for burst? can a Z be easily setup to fire burst?
The germans loved that idea, they used it as far back as WWI on the old Mauser Broomhandle and the Luger Artillery Model. It was the precurser to the idea of the PDW before the submachine gun was intruduced.
they stopped selling these, but you can still buy em off owners who are willing to part way with it. but i highly doubt they would wanna sell these kickass guns.
See, that's the whole appeal of the VP-70; the stock and the 3-round burst. Not so much the stock, I have a browning hi-power with a stock and that thing is a wet dream. The VPK isn't a great gun by it's own merrits, as I much prefer my Browning Hi-Power and Springfield XD w/compensator for straight 9mm's, but the 3-round burst makes me quite happy. If you by chance find a VP-70 for under 10,000, I wouldn't mind taking a look at it.
The vp70 is quite the gun but its trigger is heavy i have both the m and z models these are good guns but if you really want a gun thats cheap and almost the same get the g-18c or the tmp even the mac-10 .45 is good this gun is just about as good as all of the above listed but the gun has a heavy trigger and a load of recoil the recoil is more than the D.E. 50 without the stock but with it feels like the mp5 i'll part with my m for 15250 plus shipping pm me if interested.

Nice, but the stock requirement is a bit over-engineered and intrusive...

@nccrawford
Yeah but the stock makes it clumsy and removes the full-auto capability. Not good if your in a jam and need to use it in tight spaces etc...
I don't like the beretta stock but the foregrip looks very nice and functional :)

I love this weapon. I've been trying to find a VP70 for years now. Does anyone know where I could get my hands on one?
evil3mperor 4 years ago
i've only seen the civilian version
Shotgun28 4 years ago
I recently found one that wasn't a VPK (Volks Pistole Kivil)which is the civilian model. It was in
box and had the stock and everything. It was $18,000, which is absolutely insane.
evil3mperor 4 years ago
the civilian model i know of does not have the stock, but it is only $1200
