Its not that you are not worthy or will not become worthy, it is just a symbol to show you have taken the steps to able to see the light of masonry. 4. Ask this "mason" you spoke to if you can see his membership card he carries in his wallet. All that person will be able to produce is excuses as to why they don't have it.

@pobody69 I was raised in November 1966, and the Masonry I joined then is not the Masonry we have now. Now it is all about "me" not the good of mankind or our brethren. All that it seems to be about is how much power I can get, not what I can do for my fellows. I have been Master of my Lodge in La as well as Me, High Priest, Illustrious Master and Commander both in La and Me, and the changes that have transpired are really disheartening. We need to restore our obligations to our fellows.

My Father is the greatest Man I have ever know. I have been a mason for 8 years. Before that I was on a steady path to the Great Beyond. I was killing myself one pill at a time, but one day my Dad picked me up and took me out to eat. At dinner that night we didn't go for fast food or to a restaurant. Instead he took me to a dinner at the Lodge. At first I felt out of place but before I left that night I had the support I needed to change My life and I DID. MY BROTHERS, THE LODGE SAVED MY LIFE.

Sounds to me like you simply do not read!! EVERYONE knows that those books are absolute classics and have been read by millions of people. "How to Win Friends..." tells basically how to NOT be a Jack Ass and "Art of War" is an ancient scripture by Sun Tzu telling of ways to use intelligence in ANY situation (not just war) to maintain advantages!! You could actually benefit from both of these books!!

@bmaxey19 classics for tools like the masons, yes. and the book is not called "how to make friends...", it's called "how to make friends and influence people". and what kind of argument is "millions of people read it"? so what? millions of people pick their noses too. does that make it less manipulative? nope. and the other book "art of war". there is no "art" in warfare. it's bloodshed and massacre. if you don't get that you deserve a hug and pitty.

1. Criminals are not welcome to join the fraternity.
2. If after becoming a member, if said member commits a serious enough crime, their membership privileges are revoked.
3. No member of the fraternity is going to risk his well-being to cover for another member who is committing criminal acts.
4. Ask this "mason" you spoke to if you can see his membership card he carries in his wallet. All that person will be able to produce is excuses as to why they don't have it.

@stevanobivan lol, there is no research needed to be done because the members already know what's going on. The fraternity would not have lasted this long if the long term goals were not righteous. Watching misinformation videos on Youtube is not productive research.
