good job kid btw!... okay, here is the BIG question. and NOBODY is giving me the right anwser!!!! so dont disapoint me lol! I want to download Adobe (video editing softwear) on a external hardrive and do Everything from there, Is this practicle, is this possible? how much slower will this make it? what harddrive to i get? Speed is VERY important to me and i would like the fastest one doing vidoes!, i would also like atleast 1 tyribate of space.

Thanks for the video! I have been trying to get the question answered about downloading programs on an external Hard Drive. I have an old G4 Ibook and have run out of space. I am just using it for Garageband but want to download more loops and plugins. Can I do that on the External Hard drive and get them whenever I need them? Okay i just install a new hard drive on my laptop, but i need the main components from my old hard drive ie: webcam software, and some of the programs that came installed on my original hard drive installed on my new hard drive how can i do this without having to take it to a specialist?

im seriosly low on space in the internal hard drive and i want to install some games on my new WD elements 500GB external. wen i run the installer it keeps tellin me that i need more spacee on the internal. how would i get it to go on the external?

with external hard drives, can you drag and drop data? say, i have a DVD (3-4GBs). Instead of ripping it, i right clicked and opened the dvd folder, then dragged the .vob files to my computer. it worked, but my computer ran out of space after 3 such dvd's. i wanted to directly drag the .vob files from my D drive to external hdd, is that possible?

All you do is you pick the letter of drive that your external hard drive is! Just make a new folder and call it 'Program Files'
