  • We already have 7 billion people :P

  • 3.08: IN THE YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR 2525......... Sorry had to.

  • 0.02: didn't that already happen?

0.26: IN SEVEN YEARS? Right. NOOO.

  • The human population is already 6.97 billion, and NO FAIR i wish i could live forever and do this kind of stuff

  • A personally prefer this music way, way more. It adds to the atmosphere.

  • Our societies will collapse and we will lose most all progress. Our genetics will it to be so. We'll never know much. Currently we know next to nothing and we doddle in fantasies.

  • The song is very nice! Who is the singer?

  • No, because on Thursday March 13th 2013, we go home.

    Instability Infinitum.

  • i like this song

  • The 'crappy soundreplacement' is what made your video good for me. The music you suggested made it suck.

  • Comment removed

  • They forgot to include the part about oil running out so none of this will be posssible.

  • The guy below me is right the universe is expanding everyday faster than the speed of light and new life is being made on different universes every minute we will NEVER know everything!

  • we will never know everything. the universe is massive and extremely intricate, we are not and will never be God.

  • What artistic matter you make. This song would not have licit quite the same emotional response had it not for your video. You are a true genius.

  • @jbaylies

oke, u think back, what did whe got 220 years ago? nathing, 98% of labor power came from humans, 2 % whas animals/windmils. today 2011, 98% is machine power. 2%=humand power. u only talking abaut better technologie, what abaut humans? we become unusefull in that time. cause robots can make them self, and creat better products than us.work faster.....

    Peace.

  • why put the song title in the description to promote the album I'f they don't give a

    flying toss about you.

  • @dwarfer777 - THAT'S NO WAY FOR FUTURE HUMAN TO THINK....FUCK OFF

  • Wtf? If we are sitting here to wait for it to happen then, do it now. We would be more advanced then.

  • To all you idiots out there who believe in 2012, If so many scientists and other people have predictions about the future (after 2012), don't you think we'll still be alive once it's over!!! Sincerely, the people with common sense.

  • What is the name of this song?

  • too fast too quick... sorry, but more reliable sources say that half this stuff won't happen for a long time

  • i like the music

  • lol what a stupid fuckin.g video. 30% because it's easier to believe? remember they thought we would have flying cars by now. this video is a complete load of shit and is completely from this person imagination. seems like he has thought up some stupid fucking ideas.

  • hmm interesting ideas but i think you should keep in kind the book 1984 when you make predictions, and theres been people moving the deadline for this stuff back since the apollo launched.

Anyway people saying religous beliefs took us back i have to disagree. What is the main cause of war? Religion and superstition.

Most wars force both technology and Industrial techniques to leap forward.

  • religious beliefs have set us back 300 years in our scientific evolution

  • @almastar21 I'm not sure about the number, but I agree that religion has brought us back.

  • If we found more blueprints like starships on Alexandria archives,,, then only way to look in to future is,,,, looking at the past first.

  • Whatever happens to the human race, Earth will still be a speck in the universe.

  • i agree with a lot of this except that in 2020 AI will be as smart as us. by then, it may be as smart as a dog i think. right now, our most advanced robot (asimo) is about as smart as a disabled cockroach, so even though nothings impossible, i dont think we'll be there yet. also in 2020, i think we will be on or soon going to mars if the economy doesnt get screwed over again. 2022 kinda goes with what i said about AI, same with the 2030 robots performing at human levels thing.

  • its true to all you disbelievers why u think in the next ten years we gonna have a drug to reverse ageing they already keep tech away from us as we all to lazy to get up n do anything about it we r just sheeple unless we stand up for our individuality

    peace

  • you watch way toooooo much cable. heres a prediction ...chuck norris will kick your ass ahhhahahahahha

  • @kreno11234 thats too stupid

  • This is mostly all crap. Easy to talk about in theory, but not that practical mostly. Just a good way to sell a bunch of fringe stocks to a bunch of rubes.

  • 2026.... world reaches 8 billion population???? then we DO need a few wars to keep the numbers down! im kidding btw

  • I had to pull together a scholarship essay on whether or not I felt my generation of youth had a role in America's future and this helped me more than I can say - thank you!

  • The song is NOT "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap. It's still a good song though. I don't think people would want these changes. =]; Virtual reality, entertainment, voice command, thought command... These things probably. Things that are tangible and for "recreation" I can see going far.

  • lamer

  • with all the natural disasters going on. Who says the human race will even b around in 500 years or 1000 years.

  • @josh2madman In 50 or 100 years we are expected to become a type 1 civilization, which means being able to survive all non-solar natural disasters. I think we'll be fine.

  • This is all nonsence, who wants to live in a world like this? Future predictions are always wrong like food being made into pill form in the 80's and clolonizing the moon already. Cars driving all by themselves has been around since the 60's, but this isn't going to happen soon because it is so damn expensive, and it would take away freedoms. Technology has been basically the same for decades now, and if these predictions are true, what do ya know? FUTURE SHOCK.

  • DUDE, YOU SCARE ME !!!!!!!! :@

  • In the 50's, they told me I would have a flying car that ran on rainbows and happy thoughts.....still waiting...

  • we will always control the robots......so dont worry

  • Don't let robots become too intelligent!

We don't want what happened in the terminator to happen for real!

  • Why does this seem so damn sad?now I know how old people feel

  • @kingmanted becuz we are gona be old n sexy by then :l i would only get to see til 50's if im stil around. Atleast I will, others didnt. from cavemans to this.

  • then something comes along and wipes out the ability to check the validity of this video.

  • truths:

A: anti aging technologies will be available towards the middle of the 21 century, and whole body regeneration at the very latest towards the end of the 21 century

B: if a technological singularity does happens around 2050, then all bets are off; making predictions past that point is impossible for mankind; we make a thousand years of subjective human progress by the month

    C: nanofactories == post scarcity

  • @eyhexs not true

  • This video scares me!..And I hate the pathetic music!

  • who made up this bullshit, only God has the power of looking into the future this far away. Most of this is guessing & speculation, + who wants to be in a world full of robots, smarter & more physical & mentally capable, than any human being!

I want to go back in time when things were genuine, & most people lived their lives with love & compassion for others. I think I'd have to go back before John Kennedy was killed, an stop that from ever happening!

  • What's song is this?

  • why is everything 30%?

  • Predictions are almost always wrong, but thanks for the optimistic view of the future, it's a breath of fresh air compared with most of the gloom and doom nonsense out there. Cool song too!!

  • I don't know if anyone else notice but in 2026 the population was 8 billion.

Then in 2043 which is 17 years later, the population went up to 9 billion,

    that makes sense but!

Then it wasn't until the year 2183 that the population increased 1 billion again..... That is a total of 150 years!!!!!!!!!!!

We should of been up to at least 15 billion.

    Something must of happened.....

Either this person expects Fuck Bots or he just picked a random number.

"cough cough* I want one. hahaha

  • As long as we dont fuck ourselves with nuclear weapons.

  • I predict that if some of these predicitons are true, I don't want to be here. Cell phones are bad enough...........

  • Comment removed

  • @elARTEdelPOOP Are you depressed or what. We have the possibility of paradise on earth in our lives.

  • i dont think we could possibly know every thing there is possible to know simply because the list is infinite! lol

  • cars can drive by themselves right now allthough not on a good enough level as proffessionals, but i'll give it 5-10 years for them to be as good as people the real questions is how long it'll take for us to accept autonomous driving cars

  • your glass is half full. lol

10-20 years and we will be in a huge world war

  • @jHonaZ1337 lol yup..maybe less than 10

  • lol totally off!

  • if humans are still around in a million years i think we will be so advance that we never die

  • Human being is so desperate to live like they never gonna die. They try to earn so much money like they gonna die tomorrow from starving.

  • what about wars...

  • i like how everything is 30% hahaha

  • at 20 years too every year in this video cause ders no money left

  • Nahh I dont thats trueee, Look at the jetsons -_-

    Failed me dere didnt they?

  • our life expactancy already has already increased by 25% in the last 40 years steady what will make it stop?

  • That was to weird to watch a second time

  • 2012 end of the earth and humanity.

  • i wish i could live forever

  • @kvnd1337 aaaahhhhhh, the follies of man. why would you want to live forever??

  • @hiperson641 agree, without death life is of no value..

  • @pumasduck u crazy? the value in life is to expierience things. you cant do that when ur dead.

  • @cooladas @pumasduck hahah without death you don't see your life as precious... Then it wouldn't be a big deal to live your life every second! to experience is life, your right! But look at it this way, with out death their is no life.. without ugly no beuty, and without dark no light..

you may agree with me and may not, thats the beauty of having your own opinion :)

  • @pumasduck i see what you are saying.....you cant quantify something without comparing it to something else...similarly you cant tell where you are without comparing urself to an object of some kind..and i agree with you....i imagine in the future people will take living for granted. having said that, i believe that people will find new meaning in life.... something else to keep them happy. possibly on bases' (basis?) that are worlds different than anything conceived today.

  • @pumasduck that's a nice way of thinking ^_^

  • @pumasduck so basically what you're saying you live to die? I would personally rather live in order to live, and just because you can live forever doesn't mean dying is impossible

  • @coolhead20 you live to create, before you die and will be remembered, for me thats the only way a human can, and should live forever :)

  • @pumasduck So Live your life as long as you can, be and see as much beauty as you can. and always keep you rmorals in teh right place. One Love

  • @steveisjesus yeah something like that exactly :)

  • @hiperson641 because when u die its over, why would u want to die?

  • @kvnd1337 without death, there is no life... you know? after a hundred years or so, you start seeing the same thing over and over again. theres no spice, theres nothing that you havent seen, nothing to live for. you get tired of getting up in the morning everyday, just to go through the motions. after you stop living for life, what do you live for? you can say someone else, but they will pass away. you can live for a cause, but after 100 years maybe 200 years, you get tired.

  • @hiperson641 I completely agree... I design cybernetic implants as a hobby, and I figured out a way to extend my own lifespan to past 200 years with a chip in the back of my neck that cuts the stress down on my brain and heart, thus making them wear out more slowly. I couldn't find any reason why it wouldn't work several months later, but then I realized I'd probably go insane by the age of 165 or so from getting bored with life, so I scrapped the idea.

  • @bioniclefan4life well, your metabolism would also dramatically decrease, thereby shortening your sense of time. thus, you would still live to 200 years, yet experience it as a fraction of that time. keep the idea. i think its good stuff XD

  • @kvnd1337 us humans, we are not designed to live for centuries. and you could disagree with all i said in the comment before this. but everything needs an end. without it, theres just nothing to it any more. like beauty. theres a quote, i for get what it is exactly, but its comparing a single real rose to a dozen fake ones. the real rose would be admired for its beauty more than the fake ones, simply because it will soon die.

  • for the 2055 prediction you might wanna add that it'll be equal to the brains of humans as of now, not the future. :]

  • I really like this song better than ''Hide and seek''...The music fits it better.

  • Michio Kaku once said, "The technology we have today is about as smart as a retarded cockroach." I highly doubt in 13 years we'll have AI that has the learning capacity as we do.

  • aaahhh i dont want robots to do the things we can do. scary

  • how?

  • have you ever seen Wall-e?

  • @vitamincity love that movie

  • Wow, and all that could even happen within my lifetime (well, most of it xD)

But I don't believe that all of them will come true.

Wow, the growth of the world population is slowing down (first thing I noticed xD)

  • we will never know all there is to know....

  • true, as long as there is creativity to create more things to learn.

  • yes but im afraid the internet is taking our creativity away. i am very anti computer sure i love it but i think that its taking over our lives. and i miss the old ways

  • well in my personal opinion the internet expands our creativity by allowing us to spread games, ideas, music and media (as well as all of human knowledge) from just a few clicks.

Anyways the internet and computers in general will be very common throughout day to day life in the future and as far as I know it will only become more common.

  • i love at the end

    "sourced from wikipedia"

    in other words "LIE'S"

  • power of the human brain isnt just in mere processing power and operations in floating point - it is in its architecture, dynamics and ability to retransform, strenghten or even weaken somewhere. There will be no less than 100 years before invention of something that will match human brain in all aspects.

60 years ago they allready made computer that was hundreds of times faster than the best brain in counting... it's just not that. It is in programming and dynamics of HW.

  • So when im a littel old man I will have a car just like KITT.Nice 2030

  • really? even at the slow speed humans think today computors could never surpassed the speed if you excercise this correctly.

  • I don't think much of this is realistic.....in the time-frame given.

Besides, I figure we'll have a major fucking war within the next 50, or at least 100 years that'll set things way back.

Just imagine how far we'd already be if we didn't have war, religion, and people's stupidity in general slowing us down?

    Now that's hard to predict

  • @EuropaBloke who do you think will have a war with who?

and war actually provides extremely accelerated technological progress as it reduces the limiting effect of economic factors

  • With whom? Tough to say, but there are many economic tensions right now, one being china.

I agree that war does proved accel. tech. progress, true, but if let's say we did go to war with china, with nearly ALL our labour and factories outsourced there, it would have a devastating impact on the US, and hence the world economy.

As Michio Kaku mentioned, we're in the most vulnerable transitional state right now..if we don't nuke ourselves in the near future here we should be o.k.

  • I don't think countries as powerful as the US and China would be stupid enough to go to war directly any more because of the damage it would cause. However I shouldn't assume people are clever...

China's economics may mean it is in the more vulnerable situation as more of its GDP is from industry.

And the US collapsing wouldn't necessarily drag the rest of the world down, the EU zone has a similar GDP, however this simplifies the issue.

And hopefully yes, M.A.D. should deter this outcome.

  • I bet 95% of these predictions will turn out to be false.

  • I really don't see a technological boom as a good thing. It will just be so unnecessary and everything will be to artificial. Yeah, if we could find cures for diseases that would be nice, and general things like that. And I really don't want to live to 130. The world would just be more crowded.

  • it is positive, that not any war was mentioned.Since this here seems to be about development alone. But war wWILL occure, somehow, somewhere, always again,if not somehow people finally get over their f....ng ego.then, if this would happen,we can talk about real progress in human history.but nice vid and nice song.Thank you 5/5

  • Um you're pretty hopeful of the future, but I predict something a little different.

As the world population increases things will get worse not better. More apartment sized houseing, people will stay in doors because of polluted skies and while technology will boom, it'll mainly be used to control mankind. Robots will grow in intellegence and a select few will rule over the populace. For those who live outside the protected buildings, death famine and pestilence.

  • @DaddyPimpo I bet there will be 30 billion by people by 2183. And if there isn't, somethings wrong with humanity.

While there may a huge acceleration of technology in the 21 first centeury, the birth rate is decreasing dramatically.

  • What will happen when we have so many people on this earth that we run out of room?

  • lol its funny your thinking about 180 years scientist didnt give this planet 50 more years because of the global warming and we still dont do anything and keep on polluting .. and one million years lol thats hilarious Im not being pesimist just realist

  • none of this will ever happen unless we do away with the monetary system.

  • You do realise John, that you are actually, technically, an idiot.

  • 2095 near light speed ooo i hope i live down to THIS! life expectancy technology im first in line!!!:):)

  • @Korianne75 Jeez, and to think of all this. All of us here will either be dead or extremely old men. I never thought that we could be traveling to the stars by 2095. I thought it would be at least 500 more years before we travel to other stars.

If we even still survive until a million more years humanity will practically be a god.

  • i think humans future is in space

  • Sorry, but the name of the song isn't Hide and Seek. You probably made a mistake.

  • That's because they changed the song.

  • what about anti gravity

  • WHAT SONG IS THIS??? ITS AMAZING!!!!!

  • I am a human being ..... "NOT" a Human Doing. I am 34yrs old I will remain a Human Blood Being. until I die.

  • Whats the point in having robots do all our jobs? We wont have any money!

  • Sound off is much better than that music.

    :)

  • i want to be alive to experience that

  • I don't know who told you that. all I know, is that you wrote for example

"2019, a $1000 computer will match teh processing power of a human brain."

you all are like WOOW, IT'S SOO AWESOME!!!

well. Its fabrication costs $1000. but we may not even know about this, the governements would just hde it. doh.

and anyway, I don't know how you know the exact dfate off al these things. oh, and btw, I hate futurist fans, we all know future's horrible.

  • Too fast

    Gracias

  • at the last.........the robots and aliens will fight the 3 rd world war.........and suffer extinction.........we and our jobs will be saved.........happy life again........thts the future

  • we will encounter aliens in near future........and they will take all our and robots jobs..........tht means more rising unemployment............thts the future

  • by 2013 we will have 7 billion population and robots will do all the surgery..............that means rising unemployment..........thts also future

  • What about any problems that we face and may be our doom?

  • If H. sapiens stopped fighting amongst itself after WWII, it could have already passed most items mentioned here. Currently, $1.5 trillion is spent on military budgets annually. With this money, the worldwide education budget could be doubled. Not to mention countless usefull lives would not be wasted. What's the value of robo-soccer players etc. if half the globe has to survive on a dollar/day? Scary perspective this "visionary" video has been written from...

  • Well see, when we learn everything there is to know...We become Vorlons. At least, that's what Babylon 5 taught me :P.

  • freeky

  • I seriously doubt human life expectancy will exceed its current level, or be raised, in the near future. Basically, as long as the Standard American Diet (meat and dairy as staples) exists; as long as fast food and the sedentary lifestyle exists, we certainly won't be living longer.

As for the predictions, fairly accurate, I think. As to your million-year question: Until we master harnessing the energy of (first) our planet, then our Sun, we really will not have advanced that far.

  • He missed out human regeneration using stem cells. I believe you could live up to 200 year with this technology. Then for direct input for brain also available to make an output, which creates human-machine entiry and extend life another 100 year...

  • the direct input to the brain has alredy been achieved, see the illegal bionic eye. it has a plete on the actual brain that the camera is wired to.

  • I'm hopeful we may have our ups and downs, but look what humanity has done in just the last 1000 years.. last 200 years ect..

  • when WE know all there is to KNOW, we will merely START OVER

  • The world population thing irked me, sure less developed countries have a fast growth rate, but these can and do change as history has showed us. As a country becomes more developed population growth tends to slow. It is also not difficult to reach zero population growth, that is 2 kids per couple.

  • what i think in the near future is everybody will be extremely smart because of some type of computer that is super portable and small and we can look up things with a thought. therefore being able to find the answer to almost everything in a few seconds of thought.

  • u hv gone too far my dear, can u guess about america in next 10 years..i yink it would become 4th world country soon..in other words go to stone age

  • are you 30% sure?

  • how do you know all this

  • some people are fucking stupid. do you not know what a prediction is?

  • HAHAHAHA Wikipedia? very accurate im sure. And by the way, this is most defitnetly NOT Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap. its just some other annoying song.

And one more thing...Stop thinking so much about the future. Today is about today and tomorrow's never gauranteed.

  • Wish there was a metric for the JOY of life...without that whats the point in anything else increasing ? Is it a case of the more knowledge humans have the less respect they have for it, people seem to becoming dumber to me.

PS:Music definitely didn't work for me at all

  • how did we all even get here today, and watevr created the earth so perfectly, it prbly knew wat it was doing. the world population will prbly start to decrese from war and murders which we get more of evry year. so wat does it all mean? life? were did it come from? were would even begin to look for answers? the mystery behind it all, every question out there has to have an answer, and we may nvr know the answers. i doubt its all bullshit, cuz its so fuking complicated, so is it a joke? idk

  • so what you're saying is that because there's so much chaos, there must be a being behind it all? i swear, i hate people who believe in a god, just because they don't feel like sitting there and learning about evolution.

  • So the in the future, all our graphs will be in 30%'s?

  • You're all forgetting what happens when you get near your 80's or 90's. Something happens at this age that stops you from looking forward to anything anymore. I'm shitting myself over this thing. Help me out here. Any dates past 2050 scare the shit out of me.

  • what are you talking about?

  • alot of ppl are saying your dates are to early im saying maybe too late because there is a wealth of tech. out there the nobody knows about and if we make or already have made contact with an alien species the that will boost out evolution up by an ass load, i think though you were right on we will proceed to become one of the most awesome planets in the universe if we want to.

  • Don't want fucking robots god dammit!!!!!!! they will be so smart that they will not listen to us wwe are all fucked!!!!!!!!!!1

  • agree

  • What will happen when super intellegent computers figure out they dont need us anymore?

  • it took us a couple million years to have a conscience.

  • Okay whats your point?

  • 10 billion people in over 100 years?

    more like 40 or so

  • way to early on the dates.

  • Great vid but the singer of the song can't sing worth shit

  • Hopefully along the way in all this fabulous technology - humans will learn to love each other and the earth, realising our symbiotic relationship :) ps - i dont think leaning ever stops
