I really enjoy this song, don't get me wrong, but the lyrics are nothing to do with a Requiem. The total opposite in fact. It's a mass for the dead. There are no other meanings.

The London boys sing 'this is a requiem for our love, our love is a miracle now'. For that line to make any sense at all, it has to mean they are mourning the death of their love, rather a sad thought.
