I know that they do grow to more than 100lbs.(60ish kg). they live for a really long time, and they're not allowed to be harvested on the Great Lakes.,at least on the Canadian side! I've heard from some anglers, that they do exist in inland lakes as well. (Great lakes are not considered "inland") Either wa, that's a GIANT!
@zzztubazzz Sorry dude you are wrong. Check your info. Sturgeon can get very large. I am a diver, and I have personally seen one that was about the same size as me...5'9", 175lbs....sure looked enormous to me...but they get MUCH bigger!!
@biggbrattz I would'nt even waste your time arguing with that guy. He clearly has no knowledge of sturgeon at all. We all know they exceed 100lbs. Hes a troll who only wants to argue. Look at his channel description, he is obviously a joke.
@zzztubazzz You are just ignorant. Google it, dumbass. I've seen sturgeon that were 800lbs, and 13' long. I have sturgeon fished for 16 years, and I know these things get over 100 lbs. I have ppersonally caught several 600lb fish. get your facts straight, and your head out of your ass motherfucker.
@TheMasterOutdoorsman Hey man take easy when you talk to me, if you don't know anything shut the fuck up, you've caught 600lb, Fuck you man fucking bull shit mother fucker
I personally was out with freds fishing adventures caught a sturgeon 6'8'' and weighed roughly 168lbs never been caught before so Im wondering 2 more feet roughly 200lbs more kind of tough to say the least
The Fraser River Sturgeon is a protected species and that fish is prbably 120 years old. As you can see they are amazing and retention of the Sturgeon is not allowed.
such awesome creatures. even after that long fight, when pulled into the shallow water, still has enough strength to snap its tail hard enough to break your limbs. glad to see it was released
The Fraser has some unbelievably huge Sturgeon in it. And it is all catch and release, no angler would ever kill one of those beauties (no good eatin anyway), turn him back loose for someone else to catch another day. This fish isn't even the biggest I've seen come out of that water, but it sure was a beauty!
i don't see why people keep sturgeon i wouldn't eat something that looks like a damn dinosaur but they are fun to catch until u see what they are, same for alot of fish
I reeled in an 8 foot sturgeon but it didn't take very long, from what I remember the guys rod I was using was a lot thicker then the one these guys are using. Are there different kinds of rods for sturgeon? Just curious.
Zzztuba doesn't know shit sturgeon reach over 600 pound retard

It's illegal to keep the sturgeon in BC Canada. You risk to get fine $5000 and get 2 years of prison

Kind of, they feed off of small animals on the bottom. Mostly crayfish and small mollusks.

Excellent catch, to all you animal lovers out there, Sturgeon are endangered in Canada, so all fish have to be released.
