  • hey again, sorry for the many questions. but for this bow (50#) do you think 11/32 wooden shafts or 5/16 is the best? wich do you recommend?

    Alex

  • @vemkanmanlitapa Hey np. Only experiments of wooden shaft i have, are of 23/64...for 77# bow..So i dont know exactly what is the best. Nowadays these Storms (for hunting) are very center shooting, so the window is bigger than in this video. And for horsebackarchery there is the other Storm model without shelters or windows. So you should pick the spine first for this 50# and try both arrow sizes. For wooden arrows, i would perhpas choose the 11/32 first...but....5/16 would be lighter=faster...

  • hey Marko, im thinking of buying this bow, what is the best weight(grain) for a target

    arrowpoint for a 50# storm?

    greetings from sweden

  • @vemkanmanlitapa Hello friend. The weight of the arrrow point depends of the arrow spine, arrow length, your draw length and your release. So i can not give the straight answer to you. But i have been using 125gr points for all my bows/arrows and i cut the shaft so that it flyes straight. Some rare cases i have used 100gr points put only with some very weak safts. I recommend you to start by finding correct spine of the arrow, take 125gr and 100gr points and start testing without feathers on.

  • Hi, do you plan to have any new videos on the Storm. The ones I've seen are great.

  • @gsgtsg Hello. Latest one is the bowfishing video, but i have also one little trickshot-idea in my mind i would like to try with Storm.

So i believe the next movie is about the Storm :) I just need some time and find a proper field to try this shot. And i it goes well and i manage to do it, i will put it right away to Youtube.

I am glad to hear you like these Storm-videos. Greetings and have a great day!

  • @Trophybow1 Hi, what arrows do you use with the Storm? Which would you recommend? Cheers.

  • @gsgtsg Cheers. I am attracted to Gold Tip Traditional -series. (carbon but looks like a wood)

  • Thanks for the respose. I am looking for a fast bow which shoots arrow faster, I will be shooting standard wooden arrows, I now feel the Storm may be a better choice over the Legend.

Does the Storm qualify for NFAS/EFAA/IFAA?

    Cheers.

  • @gsgtsg Hello, Strom is faster than legend but i dont know does it qualify for these comepetitions / longbowclass because the shortness. If you are looking for faster bow for field compeititons, i would recommend you to check Spirit! That is smoother and faster than Legend i think, and it shoud fit also to these tournaments. It is also cheaper than Trophy. You can also ask the bowyer about this qualify- thing to make it sure.

  • Hi Trophybow1, excellent videos and review on the Falco bows - you are a great archer, especially on your video shooting through the ring.

I am deciding between the Legend and Storm, as you have first-hand experience of both bows, please give your opinion on them and preference. The Trophy is a bit out of my budget at the moment.

    Cheers.

  • @gsgtsg Thank you for your kind words:). U have shot the Legend few times but i havent practised with it so much. More with Spirit, Trophy and Storm. But i can say, that legend is basic, good, more like "old style" longbow. It has not so much recurve and thats why the feeling is differend than recurved longbows. Legend is not the fastest model Falco has BUT it is consistant and reliable bow which shoots heavier arrows to without loosing speeds. Good bow. Storm is bit differend (continues)

  • @gsgtsg (part 2). Storm is lighter weight, and biggest difference is the length. This is fast and handy bow, great for hunting normal game. But if you want to shoot really heavy big game arrows, this bow will loose a bit of speed because short libs. This is made for 29" drawlength max. The short size is also making the string angle bigger when you pull to the max lengt so it squeeses your fingers more than longer bows. So it is more sensitive for release than legend forexample. But if your

  • @gsgtsg (part 3) ..drawlength is 28" or under, then there is not so big deal with the release i think. If you are looking for a handy, fast, light all-around bow for hunting, horse archery of field, Storm is good choise. If you want competition and hunting bow, with older style, you can trust the Legend too. Legend is kicking a bit more because of heavier stucture and straighter limbs, but is steady and accurate. Strom has quicker "snap"-) feeling and because of light weight, it doesnt kick.

  • @gsgtsg (part 4) so much. If you check the news from Falco´s website (page 2), you will find and article of Legend ( archers review). So both bows are good choises, Legend is longer, bit slower but reliable and "like train" with heavier arrows...it just keeps slinging the arrows....kicks littlebit (not much though). Strom is handy, bit faster with regularweight arrows atleast, light weight, bit more sensitive with release. Greetings!

  • how heavy is the 54" version?

  • @VoxSangui This Storm i have is 59#@28"...You can order it up to 60lb at the moment....if you ment the weight of the BOW , it is about 450g ( about 7000grains)

  • @Trophybow1

Oh, 450g is awesome, I have a sport recurve and it is well over a kilo and it really feels the shock and vibration, I guess the lighter bow wouldnt deliver so great of a shock ( I know it depend quite a bit on the silencing and proper brace height as well)

  • @VoxSangui Yes and arrow weight is also one thing what has meaning of kicking. Usually it is so, that heavier bow is more stable and competitive archers usually like heavier bows as yours. Specially the heavier the grip is, the smoother is the bow. Also limb weight is effecting a lot. The bow hand does not shake so much with heavy bow. But alltough this is light bow it does not kick much so it is good to shoot and handy to carry in bushes. Shoots nice and accurate. I really like it a lot.

  • How can I purchase this bow? Have sent emails to Falco and have not got response.

  • @FairburnHunter Could it be they are on holidays?? Also i know the bowyer Siim Talmar is traveling alot around the world after archery happenings.

Please be patient. I have been waiting responces from them time to time too. I am sure they will answer to you back right when they have time. Only way to purchase Storm is to sent e-mail and order it, i believe. That is what i have done with all my falco-bows.

  • @FairburnHunter

they have on their web page a list of authorized dealers for their products, so just go there and find a dealer in your country and contact them, or you can try to contacting the Falco directly (if there is no dealer in your country)

  • täst mie tykkään, tää o miu mau mukkaa!:) todella hyvät videot oot laitellu stormista sekä puskajussista, kiitos! Jos hinta jää tosiaan alle parin huntin niin eipä tarvii paljon miettiä kumman tilaan. Aikasemmin tullu metästettyä lyhkäsellä samickin skb:llä, mutta en oo sillä päässy kuitenkaan koskaan sellaseen tarkkuuteen ja varmuuteen mitä pitkäjousella. Tähän stormiin on helppo ihastua jo pelkän videon pohjalta, pakko suaha tuommonen!

  • No kiitos.

  • want one!!!!!!!

  • great i want that bow !

  • Thanks! Just go for it :) You can contact Falco and ask Siim Talmar how much it would be. He is nice and honest person.

After shootig this bow it became my favourite. Not expencive but very good shooting bow!

  • Very nice Bow Thanks for showing!

  • THanks for sharing ( still here) wonderful bow.

  • Thank you.

  • Thanks Bo!

  • I had an opportunity to try that bow yesterday and I must say that it was really fun to shoot. I have a strong feeling that I want one too. 8)

  • It was great to see you finally after two years of trying. And it is glad to hear you did like that Strom too ;)

  • And i wish we can shoot someday some trickshots together too.

  • We will do that. No doubt about it.

  • ;-)---> 5/5 good bow!!

  • Grazie amigo!

  • I have a little 52" Ben Pearson recurve, and it too is very fast.

I want to try the thumb nocking, as Mine is 28" pull, but i pull it at 30" which makes it hard for aiming.

I think i'll go back to instinctive.

Nice little bow, Hope to see it again soon.

  • that is one thing i am planning to try someday too, the thumb ring.

Just go for it and for instinctive way too!

Thank you for watching. I have some shots in my mind already, so i hope i can make little movies soon. :)

  • very good man !

  • Thank you my friend!

  • cool stuffness!!

  • ;) Thanks

  • nice it seem to be pretty fast

  • Thanks. It is suprisingly fast but still really smooth. And the price is going to be very friendly too!!

  • wild thing

  • ...i think i love it....;)

    Thanks for watching my friend.

  • looking forward 2 second part.

  • Thanks!

  • That bow looks really great. Ancient Native indians would be amazed :)

Quick adaptation to that anchor point .

  • You are allways so friendly. Thank you!

  • Wow . What a nice bow !

Exactly what I like, handy, fast and fun to shoot : )

How about the accuracy with a short bow ?

(Apart from this, that YOU can even shoot with a walking stick : )))

  • hahah you are funny!

After first trainings it is really steady and accurate even it is so short and light. It is fast but smooth and it has the trusted Falco-quality i like. But i will test it hard from now on and time will show how accurate it is. First feelings are just great.

  • nice

  • Congrats on a really sweet looking bow!

  • Thank you my friend! It is funny, light, handy but fast and smoot bow. Couple of my archery friends tested it and both liked it so much that the other friend ordered one to himself and one is considering to order it. And this bow is not epensive. The price is not official yet but it is going to be around 150euros. So the price /quality is great!

  • Just got answer from Falco that the Storm is going to be only around 200euros! They will put the official price on their websites soon!

  • I love it! I don't do much traditional archery and no horseback shooting but I love the new bow! Is there anyone in the states that carry falco bows?

  • That is good to hear. I am sorry i don´t know is there any yet, but you can check Falco estonia from google and ask them straight by e-mail. You can read te pages in english too! Siim Talmar is the bowyer and he is busy but nice person!

  • i try 4 times but the vide stop after 1:45, i try again later,

  • oh, sorry to hear. I hope it already works... :) Thanks for trying!!!
