@DYSYALYS Sorry Babe , i just don't understand why people would call it thanks giving , when so many people suffered and died , just my opinion . love you
STUDY HISTORY!!!!!!!!! no it was not a a friendly get together with the Indians and the colonists. The first "Thanksgiving" was a celebration of genocide 1637 and was celebrated May, 26, 1637 as declared by then Governor John Winthrop (12 January 1588– 26 March 1649 ) after the massacre at Mystic river of 700 Pequot Indians.
Plymouth pilgrims did not kill "Indians". Those who came after them did. The Plymouth colony was annexed by Massachusetts and discontinued. Not all "white men" killed native Americans. Many inter-married and are descendent's of native Americans today. Native Americans were not wholly innocent of generating conflict and violence, which in the historical conflict, they lost. Native Americans fought each other and were not unified. The original inhabitants of New England were Scandinavians
..African artifacts in South America pre-date Incas and Mayas as well. The remains of Caucasian Europeans pre-dating the Asian Pacific Islander migration, have been found as far inland as Ohio... meaning the allegedly evil "white man" may have been the first to have been the victim of "genocide", by the Asian-Pac Island imigrants we now call "native American". (cont)
Christopher Columbus and the Conquistadors were of a wholly different character than the Plymouth Pilgrims and it is a historical inaccuracy to confuse these two very different groups. The Conquistadors were not "white men" they were Latino & Hispanic.
Slavery was practiced by Africa where it was imported to Europe (and where it is still practiced to this day uninterrupted in Muslim countries) and while American Protestants compromised with this inexcusable practice the US is the only country on earth to have gone to the extreme of having a Civil war which killed off half it's own people to rid itself of the practice. No such thing can be said of Africa or Asia (where the practices continue to this day) or Latin-America.
..and (last point) whites were also slaves in the south too. While they were not victims of the racism perpetrated by Vallidolid Catholicism popularized in southern slave-port cities by Jesuit slave-traders, they were victimized by residual European classism. Georgia (a southern state) was the first state in America to outlaw slavery, though the laws were later over-turned by wealthy landowners from the north (Virginia) sponsored by the (Thomas) Jeffersonians. These are the facts not discussed
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I watched and listened to it twice. I learned several things I didn't know about the history of Thanksgiving.
The Heathen Natives~~~~As if the ' heathen ' did not have spiritual truths of their own.....
You know it's sad...the natives were more christian to the christians then the christians were to the natives lol.
Then again, look at what the White Man done in Europe~ White Man has a Good God and a Devil God, and the White Man worships both. He just wont admit to it~~~
Don't you just love how they intertwine their God and Social Darwinism when it is convenient for them to do so? What exactly is wrong with Harvest Festival anyhow ? Was that not a time of giving thanks to the God of one's understanding? "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." - Mahatma Ghandi.
Thank you for this Lovely Video - it is the true meaning of Thanksgiving - and I for one cannot believe the blatant indoctrination of some of these ignorant posters. Thanksgiving will not morph into Happy Harvest at my table. Thank you Lord for all of your blessings on America.
ThanksGiving is giving thanks for the taking of lands and all resources which were stolen and no respect given to indigenous native people. We native give thanks everyday, not just on thanksgiving. usually thanksgiving is a remembrance of when the white invaders taking the lands and making them rich while exterminating native people so that no one in the future can debate their true crimes.
This video does not tell the whole truth of thanksgiving. Its a whitewash episode of more lies. This only glorifies the white invaders for having stolen lands and does not mention the murder of thousands of Indigenous natives who helped the white invaders survive and then got stabbed on the back and put in concentration camps where they still reside and white the people enjoy the looting, rape, and taking of all that has never been theirs...
This was a great video Ryan, and I saved it to my favoites as well as the next parts that will follow. You have a very nice speaking voice and the quality of the video was great. I learned something today, thank you!

I think you left out the mass murder part of the story. Dont worry, it was probably an "honest" mistake.
