ive got a jumbo box in my 2500 with 2 10 jl w3 and my shit slams.....i had a reg box like that one and they were alright just picked this new box up and it made a world of diffrence...maybe summtin you should consider
@lpngcf420 Why would his girl ride in the backseat? Your girl should be upfront or on your lap. That is also saying he has a girl, He may have a man, We do not know for sure as we do not know this guy.
@peppaboy9 hell i have an 01 ram, and i got a downward facing box in it with two tens, with a third in the seat, and it booms inside the truck....but standing outside it doesnt sound great it just vibrates the hell out of you
MTX makes a custom box for the rams that fit perfect. It also comes with a built in amp. I got it in mine. check out my video to see it They are pretty loud for some 10's and stock head unit.
MA sucks they sold these shit subs @ EXcess cargo for like $50, someone i knew that worked there gave me one and i blow up one in a matter of seconds with my Rockford amp.
They are a get the job done speaker. I Had the same speakers and upgraded my amp to a 1900 watt kenwood 1 ohm. Needless to say the MA's lasted about 1 day after the install. I replaced them with 1200 watt sony xplods and man what a difference. Much more clarity.
@tristincole07 8 15's of any brand would easily do a hair trick ! btw these subs are super cheap and horrible sounding, but if you want to waste your money on these subs go ahead not my problem
You might want to think about changing to kicker cvr 10's. I have that in my 05 dodge truck and they hit hard bro. Im from H town and i seriously recommend to changing to 10's. They would it alot harder than what you have now. Those 12's are to big for that box and your not really even getting your moneys worth. I dont want you to be offended bro...just thought you would like to know.
hey buy instead the kicker cvt's the shallow kind in 12's because you will have a way more better flow.trust me i have 2 12's in my 2002 dodge and they hit hard
you can get a really nice fiberglass enclosure from tc customs for the dodge ram. I have one on order now and i'm going to us jl audio 12w7 i'll add a vid when its all hooked up.
i have two rockford p1 10s under my dodge rams rear seats, they dont perform that well compared to my buddies Yukon. I'm going take out the middle rear seat and install one or two mtx 9500. ill post a video as soon i do this.
kicker zr 800 thats not the problem those subs didnt have enough air space to perform right and i blew both of em so im bout to buy some new pioneer shallow mounts
dont get poineer, there like target brand get something like a Power Acoustik STW12's or you could get jl's most of my friends with dodges have jls because there very giid shawllow mounts and last long
Go all JL Audio! JL subs are great subs especially for under the seat in rams plus the JL amps are 100% true power unlike pioneer or Power Acoustik. There is no comparison with those 2 brands and JL. You get what you pay for! Persoanlly i would do JL subs, amp... then Alpine everything else. they go great together!
@longhorn1016 if your going with a small box like that, I would go ported so in such little room the subs can get the air they need. Also that is a nice clean install and nice tight punchy bass.
The wood boxes that go under the seats in these rams are garabage. I had 1 for a week and sold it right away because It made my JL's sound nasty. After switching boxes... world of difference. not to mention the wood boxes allow the subs to hit your under seat and damge your subs! you need a fiberglass enclosure to use up the full airspace to get the best sounds out of it.
Wood, particularly MDF is a better box material than fiberglass. That shit is just for looks, not performance. If your JL subs sounded like shit, you needed to retune your amp and headunit. Granted you can get a sturdy fiberglass box built and save a bit of airspace, but unless you add 6 layers to it, it will will resonate with the subs taking away from the bass at certain frequencies. And if the wood box let your subs hit the seat, then I assume you got a cheap one off ebay?
Hey man i got a 2005 1500 an. Im trying tue get a sub box like that but i dnt no were tue look hit mea back at biddixboy@gmail.com

they need to make some 12 inch ported boxes for under seat i cant find any.
whoc4r3s117 2 years ago
the reason you can't find any is because there would not be enough volume for the subs to work properly.
