  • Scowfield , you are genius , seems that you recycle yourself in diy business ;-)

  • Take your house key off before the oil change guy makes a copy,He has your address too!

  • Oh, thank god someone made this. I use to have to hold people at gunpoint to rob them. pshewww! What a releif.

  • i think this men is an Aisian!! lol

  • Lol dis is soo cool im soo going to try this

  • Thanks! I've made about three already, and I've already had to use one since after I mad them, I lost the actual key to my door house... But no worries I found it, but that key worked great!

  • no way??? unbelievable that a plastic key can open a lock... wow

  • Great idea! I think it would be an awesome video if you put some music. I almost fell asleep without any sound. :)

  • GUAU!!!

  • 1:17 ASIAN GLUE!

So, THAT is why he's such a winner.

  • Dude has too much time on his hands

  • The stalkers will love this.

  • Lol good luck forging my medeco keys w that stuff lol lameo

  • I dont understand why i watched this whole video.

  • @babycakez2377

    the video controls your mind

  • will this work on car doors

  • Anyone heard of Polymorph plastic its great for making plastic things and fixing things.

    Check out my channel

  • Kkkk

  • I'll just trace everybody keys and label there names ....you'll never know :D!

  • WTF, i Don't really believe that it works but nicely done!!!

  • Oops it's a soda bottle

  • I am trying this.. But what is that green thing

  • good job!

  • -Teacher can i take out the trash.

    -Yeah sure, heres the key

    hehehehehe

  • @EhEmWhy64 that's when you break out your three liter bottle and play MacGyver. LOL!

  • what happens when it gets cold, breaks and you have to replace the lock?

  • now i can do secret spy stuff by having a distraction while I make a copy of a key so I can later break into their home. sweet.

  • That funny men

  • Very creative.....but hmmm u could've gotten a copy for only a dollar and saved ur.time.

  • Arts and crafts for criminals?

  • @SevenLivelySins lolololololololololololololollololol

  • does this work for car keys?

  • I see *how to play a prank on your friend when he's drunk*

  • if you have the key to begin with, why would you want a plastic one that wont last?

  • HOLY SHIT!!!

  • @oBigDaddyReaper An x-acto knife.

  • OMG o.O

  • WOW

  • Won't work for new car keys. They are mostly electronic and mechanic.

  • haha domino's pizza pencil...wonder how they get their tips if ppl dont tip? make quick copy out of 2ltr soda bottle and there u go...

  • That is cool. very creative.

  • I don't care what other people think.

    Thats freaking AWESOME.

  • Did you learn that in Jail?

    Very good though lol

  • Wow!

    Genius<3

  • that is the most ghetto key ever made.

  • grate now this is were the breakings start

  • brilliant idea

  • Cute idea but lets see it work in a car door, a real door, etc. That flimsy plastic many times won't be strong enough to turn the lock mechanism.

  • pretty bad ass

  • I loved the idea. Congratulations

  • wao

  • Holy crap I got to try why didn't I think of this !

  • i tried this and ended up breaking the lock :(

  • Great idea though I might use a soda can instead.

  • It's a fucking good thing that all the locks here in Finland are Abloys.

  • @NyaaMylove is that why finland smells so bad?

  • Too bad (well, it's a good thing though) almost all the locks here in Finland are Abloys.

  • basically, you would carry your plastic key around with you in like your wallet in case you accidently lock yourself out or something to that matter... the point is that this key isn't as bulky and can be stored in the most unlikely of places

  • holy shit bro it worked!!! well i think i like the soda can keys better! i think its like more stiff then plastic...eh idk

  • I would have laughed if it didn't work after all that hard work! XD

  • oh my god?!?!?1 it really can??!?!?1

  • thumbs up for the dominoes pencil

  • That's funny I feel like I own a locksmithing store and I sell 100s of keys for 1.75 all day ...... but thanks for your advise on keys lol

  • DIY make yourself look like a criminal because you're shoving a piece of plastic into your door handle.

  • cool --but we can do it better

  • Please visit diy.myblogs.eu.org

  • this tutorial is for burglar!

  • I highly doubt that THAT thing works.

  • @ChinaFace27 ...you mean the key?

  • what about the depth and curves of the key

  • why wouldnt you just pay 1.50 and get a copy made lol ?

  • @bakelock Prob because he had fun making this vid and also they are alot more than 1.50 now days to get a key cut just less than a fiver

  • @bakelock It doesn't cost 1.50 everywhere just cause it happens to do so were you live. In sweden for example a key generally costs atleast equivalent to 30-40 USD to copy.

  • @gbzhemn1 well your getting ripped off

  • @vexedrex555 well, depends on how you look at it, if you rent a house/appartment, you need to use their own locksmith (or get an approval to go somewhere else) to copy it.

Copying keys for locks etc is much cheaper.

  • @gbzhemn1 :O omg!!! i live in mexico and a copy it cost from 3 to 5 box!!

  • @bakelock the reason he wouldn't pay $1.50 for a duplicate key is, he may copy someone else's key and the person wouldn't let him copy it. So, its a bit of fraud involved here.

  • @bakelock cuz its not as fun...lol

  • @bakelock You can duplicate the key without the owner (you girlfriend) realize...

  • @bakelock bcuz people would know it's a key that unlocks something...

if u make it out of plastic they'll think it's a toy. and wont even try.

  • @bakelock cuz you can get something from the dollar menu with that...lol

  • @bakelock This is actually very smart and we can't deny that we have learned something by watching this video. It basically tells you how easy it is if someone have the means to forge your keys.

  • @bakelock Because given the chance of an economic crisis and a possible WWIII our armies will require a large amount of steel, copper and brass for military purposes, so we this man has done is short of a miracle. During a war our men and women will be able to craft keys thanks to him - so do not be very critical you communist.

  • I scare the door with my duplicate key in soda bottle make the door broken

  • This is work or not????

  • @pt2305 not

  • HOLLY SHIT !!! now im never gonna show my key to anyone!

  • wow, really awesome idea!! thanks

  • NO!THIS THING DON'T WORK!

  • And this actually works?

  • check out this DIY - to make a really cute paper flower key/jacket hanger..

  • Wow! Someone is about to get robbed!

  • Wow.

  • what is this?? how to catch a broke as hell theif?

  • It's fake. Notice how when he puts the key in the frame changes. Meaning he could of changed it with a real key.

  • Awesome!

  • Man that's smart. thanks for putting it on YouTube

  • did he DIYed?

  • wow now im more panic then i really am now i have to sleep with a frickin knife next to gosh cant even be safe cus of bullcrap like this

  • @lazymamaz163rd

Why are you unsafe now? This is a way to copy your key. Unless you give a stranger your key, you still safe.

  • or just get the key copied

  • genius.

  • oh great. you just showed criminals how to break into houses in an easier fashion. haha. jk. good vid. i'll try it on my neighbors door.

  • @heymissstina you need there key to make 1 tho????

  • but what if u lost key b4 doing this lol

  • should be used only for emergencies. If you over use it. It would probably break and the key part gets stuck in the door.

  • nice, no need to duplicate

  • good job man

  • pretty cool! now help me figure out how to make a lazer volkswagen key copy

  • why the DIY type people can get gret idea like this.. not we.. thank for upload this video.. can i download this video then upoad again..

  • omg thats so cool i never wouldve thought of this i cant wait to try this out

  • super idea

    thank u

  • I did not know it was that easy 2 rob someone

  • @MyCarGoZoomZoom Well, First of all if you wanna rob this someone, you'd need their key first. What's the point of making a plastic key when you already have the key to rob that person?

  • @NinjaPeekaBooo well give the key back after you make the plastic so there wont be anyworry

  • Rather you show how to make id covers for keys, not a way to break into a "friend's) home. Creepy? Hell yeah. With peeps like you who needs enemies? No wonder I keep my home under motion detectors and video survelliance at all times.

Do something to advance society, betcha you'll be blessed.

  • @jeffxie1 What is that metal piece called. And where can i buy it. Thank you and great vid!

  • Wow

  • Brilliant DIY.

  • yaya all i need is someones house keys take it from them for about 20 mins and when they leave break in time

  • @TheGearsRenegade You only need 5 seconds to draw them on that paper.

  • @thegoodhen it may take five mins but getting the key from someone is pretty hard unless there are dumb and leave it out and forget were it is

  • Jason Bourne would be proud.

  • thats freaking awsome!!

  • I you take a small hammer or hard knife handle you can ( Pien ) P--en out the edge of the key perfectly just by pressing on the other end and making lots of taps on the teeth or edge / If you don`t have a knife; Lay key flat.

  • you're a fucking liar. when i am locked the fuck out of my house, where am i supposed to find that fucking metal piece of shit to attach to the plastic "key"??????????? waste of my damn time.

  • @nadragirl

    use a penny instead lol

  • @nadragirl cut the square end longer and fold it over few times .

  • @nadragirl Or.. you could just keep the metal attached.. or keep one with you..

  • its thin and fits very well in your wallet. i like how i always have my trusty spare key

  • nice

  • Wow! Someone had their thinking cap on. Good work!

  • wow impressive!

  • I didn't think the key would be thick enough?

  • What about the grooves along the sides of the keys?

  • so where do u get the tension wrench?

  • fake?

  • @FingerMyBoard

    nope. its real.

  • Tip: instead of getting that piece of metal he used, you can make the same thing out of a coke can. Just fold a small rectangle in half so it's strong enough.

  • thanksss, ur cool:)

  • that's better then a bump key LOL nice video!

  • Awesome .. Try heating up the key lightly then press it down onto the plastic very quickly you might get a better out print of it.

  • This is brilliant!

  • What was that metal piece you used?

  • omg in america is really easy just to do key

here we have like 3d keys

like u cant open it with just if u draw it

  • i tried and inserted the key into my keyhole and the plastic bent

  • @CollidingSparks

Not going to try to say whether this works or not 'cause I haven't tried it, but notice that in the video he tapes a small piece of metal to the "key" to turn the lock.

  • @CanItAlready what i did is i used that a penny for ther tip cuz mkambas said you can also use a penny

  • @pyromaneak47

I will try doing it over sometime and slide another piece of plastic, like a wedge or something, in ahead of the "key" to raise the pins. I see no reason why this would not work apart from the "getting the key in the lock" part.

  • @pyromaneak47

I tried it, just where his clip cuts is where I ran into problems. My plastic key was too flimsy to raise the pins, they snagged on the plastic and messed it up. Wonder how he got it in.

  • so easy to copy a key now.....

  • I don't think this will actually work. They key for one is flimsy, it may not be strong enough to raise the pins, also a key has grooves shaved into the sides etc. My theory is, the key was broke off in the lock and the plastic key is able to slide in as well because its so thin, and the broken key along with the "tension wrench" give it what it needs to turn. Anyone agree?

  • @servprosolutions

I tried this and gave up trying to put the key in the lock. My plastic was too flimsy so the pins, instead of rising simply messed up the plastic. I did not have the time or inclination to try it further, but the theory is sound, if you can get the plastic to raise the pins.

  • whats the metal thing that you attached to it called

  • This is pretty sick.. I do not think this is fake, but how precise do you have to be with your key to make it actually work??

  • It works fine no more key copies now

  • so what is that final metal tin looking thing you place on the end of the key?

  • it's just a pice of steel so he can open it. if you dont put a pice of steel at it or somthing you will only gat it trapt inside the lock.

  • @WiiToast It's a piece of metal that helps turn the cylinder by going into the key hole a little bit. The key only raises the pins in the lock into place but may be too flimsy to actually turn the cylinder.

  • is there anything i can use instead of the tension wrench that i can find at home ???

  • @yoav180 a clip

  • lol but look he pulls it out and its plastic... only thought of one half of your story buster

  • FAKE the video cuts while he's trying it. Waste of time

  • very smart

  • BRILLIANT!! how many times have I gone to AAA to have them do the same thing! now that I can have a plastic key for everything!

once locked the keys in my car at valet and was saved by the plastic car key in my wallet!

  • you got it, the plastic key is flexible and can bend like a credit card so you dont have a rigid metal plate in your wallet when you sit down
