Is it ironic that so called 'Scotsmen' are playing an old Irish rebel song? No, it's not ironic because these aren't Scotsmen - they're fake New World Scotsmen. Pathetic really; if -and I don't understand why Scots would be marching for St. Patrick's day - but if you're going to march at least play a tune that befits Scotland. News flash for you New Worlders - rebel songs are anti-British, they're anti-Scottish just as much as they're anti-English.
With that many people it is hard to sound bad... :-) Generally we prefer to be called "Massed Pipes & Drums" though. Pipes & Drums "Band" is kind of a misnomer. We are a "corps" of Pipes & Drums. ;-) Good footage.
As you may have noticed I have updated the title and description of this video based on the information you supplied. If you or anyone else supplies additional pertinent information in a comment I may further add to or revise the description of this video. Needless to say that goes for pretty much all of my YouTube videos.
It seems clear that you know what you are talking about even if you weren't in the parade but I presumed that you almost certainly were in it based on the available evidence. ;-) You're welcome for the filming and posting. My pleasure. This is the first year I did any video. Normally I am a still photographer but I was trying out my new Nikon D90's D-Movie mode and the more I use it the more I like it even if it has some technical glitches that need to be worked out in future models of DSLRs.
3 pipe bands here playing together... The Black Watch (RHR) of Canada, The Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa and The Calgary Highlanders. 87 ppl on parade.

Thanks for that info pmbear. It's appreciated.
I very much enjoy bagpipes and pipe and drum bands, in reasonable doses of course! ;-)
