Gerrard is Better than lampard , Lampard used to be the leader of chelsea with terry , but now there are more important players in chelsea , better than lampard , like essien , malouda, drogba , anelka etc.

with that i mean that is waaay easy to play football for lampard because of his teammates it make's his job easier , but Gerrard , gerrard is the leader , the captain of the ship , we need him.

just imagine a team of 11 gerrards , and one with 11 lampards , wich one would win? Gerrard's :)

steven gerrard is by far the better player, he's the complete player. don't get me wrong, lampard is a very good player but not quite on the same level that steven gerrard has been producing over the years. even the legendry zinedine zidane once said that steven gerrard was the best midfielder on the planet & if he could have 1 player in his team it would be stevie G!

Based on this season no doubt Lampard.. however overall Liverpool has been carrying an average Liverpool side for 6 to 7 years, while Lampard has constantly been surrounded by world class players. Interms of consistency Lampard is incredible, but on peak form and in the really big match environments Gerrard wins hands down.

Both are world class, but Gerrard is just that little bit more special .

Gerrard is the worlds best midfielder, Lampard has dropped dramatically in performances the last two seasons, but still, Lampard was never as good as Gerrard is now.
