  • Great playing, wish I never quit.

  • I have the same guitar but the action is about a mile away from the fretboard. You really do this guitar justice.

  • Nice playing! I started playing slide more seriously maybe a month or two ago. You can check my video on my chanel. What slide do you use?

  • just bought the identical guitar on ebay minus the dice knobs for $70... after watching this i know i received a great deal, lets just hope it sounds half as good as this. cheers!

  • 10/10

  • she's a babe!

  • What amp are you using? ??

  • sounds awesome !!

  • Very cool playing, it sounds like it has the intense feeling that often lacks. Though the beginning - to me - sound like a Muddy influence, not Son House's "Empire State Express" but Muddy's "I Can't Be Satisfied".

  • @ASilverwaste

Thanks, and well, Muddy was heavily influenced by Son so there's probably both of them in there in my playing, hehe.. I'm happy to hear that you dig this!!

  • Diggin' it man, love your feel, tone is awsome!!

  • @MrCaribbean

    THANKS!!! :-)

  • you got killer feel mate

  • @AviatorAndyK

    Thanks!!

  • Deep blues there, my brother. That was a great video-the pros in here could learn a few things about showcasing an instrument from you! Very soulful, personal playing-you would sound good on anything you played. I mess around with slide on an old Kay swingmaster with the original Kay toaster pickup in the bridge and a Dearmond goldtone in the neck-pretty sweet sounds outta that thing I must say.

  • @bluestime04

    Thanks a lot, bro!

    A Kay!!

There's a cool guitar, I do have one too from the late 50's, never made a video clip with it, maybe I should?!

    Thanks again!

  • Dear friend, nice guitars. The first one is an S70T model from 1963. Rock on!!

  • @voluntario3

Thanks for the comment and info!!!

  • Very nice playing! I had one of those 4-pickup Kawai models. I bought it new in mid-1965. It was powder blue. It was my first electric guitar. I owned it for about 2 years and then went and bought a "real" guitar - a used Gretsch Anniversary model, for which I paid $50 in great condition (that was the going price for used Gretsch guitars back then. I lived in Brooklyn, and they were still making them there). A used Tennessean or Nashville model went for around $75.

  • I have a similar old teisco, but I cant get any kind a tone like that. What amp are you playing through? are you using any pedals?

    Amazing playing!

  • Fine thing!

  • im looking at a couple teisco guitars that im interested in, but i can only afford one. for slide would you suggest I get one that has only 1 pickup but its a gold foil, a del rey with 2 pickups, or some weird 3 pickup one? (theyre all teisco or some variant of teisco)

  • @gageman70

    Cool!!

I can only say that I like my 4-PU the best, I get a fat, big tone from that one which the single PU can't compete with..

    Good luck getting the Teisco!!

  • @BottleneckJohn where did you find these guitars? im always taking peeks in antique stores when my mom brings me along to see if theres some hidden gem like one of these leaning in a corner

  • @BottleneckJohn

    Hi!

What strings are you using on S70T?

    Thanks

  • @tzubovic

I have no idea, I'm afraid..

    .12 - .56 maybe.

  • @BottleneckJohn

    Thanks for the quick answer....

I will put those (for a start) on my new aquisition (S70T) since it has flatwounds on.

Hopefully it will sound half that good

    ;)

  • Hi, my friend...unfortunaly i can't tell you much about these guitars, just that they are very beautyful and sounding great, both of them, besides this i have to say that you are a realy great slide-player, i love that style...thisone goes in to my fav. cause i think i can learn some tricks out of it, if i may...lol...Great vid, man...sorry i can't tell you more...grts Kurt !!!

  • Awesome, I have that same guitar (First one)!! The colours differ though, other than that it's the exact same guitar!

  • I have the 2nd Kawai Guitar with the 4 pickups I collect vintage guitars and Musical instruments...cool playing

  • Fine guitars and fine playing! (I wonder if the makers back in Japan of these old guitars ever imagined they'd be used like this?)

  • ahhhh...sounds soooooo sweet. why not get a teisco with "gold foil" pickups? then, maybe play some ry cooder also.

  • Thanks bro!

A Teisco would be mighty fine!!!

  • did you adjust the action at all?

  • A little, the height at the bridge could be adjusted. It's perfect for slide now!

  • Hi John. I'm not very fond of electric guitars, but those sound very good : great fat bluesy stuff !
