It just states that god magically poofed the universe into existence, without explaining how. So, it's just another way of saying: We don't know how it happened. And in addition, we don't know why god exists. So, it's just a matter of replacing one open question with two open questions - which sounds like a bad deal to me.

Final note, a "race" cannot take credit for the accomplishments of an individual anymore than another individual. The "race" did nothing, nor did the other individual. Albert Einstein contributed greatly to physics, the Jews nor anyone else can legitimately take credit for his contribution. I have done little, if anything, to further humanity. @blackdawn88655 If the end of times comes, that will be excellent evidence, too. But churches have been saying it's the End of Times since Christianity began, and none of them have been right so far, so I'm skeptical, as I see that you are. I agree with you that we should live life as good people, do what we think is best, and be ready to face whatever happens. I'm all for personal responsibility.

@acr08807 thatss the problem with the world.. there all like oh yeah well wel just wait till the end an see if god comes. an f he does then i ll beleive wel the way the bible says it is that u wont know its happeing till its over an u go through tribulation which would totally sucks its would be like hell on earth.. not to hard to imagine the way were destroying stuff i want to go into polotics so i have a feeling most religons r going to hate my guts ^^ except chatolics there suck ups ^^

@blackdawn88655 Ohhhhh, scary. Ezekiel 26 claimed that Nebuchadnezzar would utterly destroy the city of Tyre and never rebuilt. Nebuchadnezzar did indeed destroy the city in 586 BC. Yet 20,000 people live there today. Mark 3:8 tells us that Tyre was inhabited even in the times of the New Testament story. So forgive me if I don't rearrange my life based on another Biblical prophecy.

@acr08807 i dont know the whole thing i cant use bible qoutes an stuff to argue the point of religons why is it that atheists no the bible so much better then christians? the bible history book such as the aztecs sun dials i know its hard to beleive something like this when most of the christians out there r arrogant assholes who think there better then u. but u know my church, the people, they were diffrent. i just didnt have faith i do know i could never go to another church again

@blackdawn88655 It's only my opinion, but I think it's very difficult to remain a Jew or Christian if you read the Bible straight through. Once you see the inconsistencies in the stories, the bad science (clouds are the dust from God's feet?), the childishness and sociopathy of God, and the crappy style of the writing, it just makes a lot more sense as a book written by imperfect men than one written by or inspired by a perfect being.

@acr08807 lol omg duh. its not science. theres no science to it what so ever. i personally admire people who can have faith in somethin like that. its hard expecially with all the cristism u face. trust me i know.

@blackdawn88655 So my view is that in many cases, atheists don't read the Bible because we're atheists, we're atheists because we read the Bible. I'm sure that some read it because they like to debate believers, or at least educate believers in what the parts of the Bible that they didn't get taught in Sunday school really say, or because they&#
