I tell you right now. The Band is Playing to High a Key for his voice. They need to bring it down a couple of steps to allow him to feel the music. It's clear that he can sing. However, He's singing to The Band. The Bands not playing to his voice and in his Key.
what do you mean he is an imposter, you shithead, you obviously dont regonise real talent,Eric is one of a kind at 70 still having a great blues voice, your just a little dick nobody
Dang Eric dude, you just seem to happen at New Orleans at the wrong time, egads. Beyond that, a good singer and story teller you are in your music. ;)
@Ann3shoes I was thinking the same thing. To tell you the truth I never really knew where he was from, but I suspected somewhere in Britain. I like anything he does. Of course, I'm 67 years old too!
IT JUST DOSENT SOUND LIKE HIM HE MUST BE A REPTILIAN REPLICA THE YOUNG BURDON NEVER FORCED HIS BREATH THATS WHAT MADE HIM SO COOL--THIS IS AN IMPOSTER.
YOU ARE THE MAN ERIC,I STILL HAVE ALOT OF HIS RECORDS,MAYBE THEY ARE WORTH SOME MONEY,BUT I WILL CHEERISH THEM AND HAND THEM DOWN TO MY GRANDKIDS,,LIVE LONG AND GOD BLESS ERIC BURDON AND THE ANIMALS.
He is so great, I want to hear everything he sings, old, new, whatever. I want to hear more. I am so amazed watching this video because he is even better than ever. Eric, give us more!!!
Way to go! In my opinion, eclecticism is one of the things that makes an artist great. It seems pointless to allow yourself to be restricted by genre lines when you can do more. Its just another way big buisness keeps true talent out of modern pop music. Heres to Eric and all the true artists of the world who refuse to be cash cows for the music industry!
I think what the great Eric Burdon is saying here is l'art pour l'art... art for the sake of art. The driving force behind any great artist. Mr. Burdon, you ARE your own genre!
@BradinPhilippines PUHLEESE! There is no comparison to today's genre of musicians and voalists. They are a few who are really talented today, but most of them have been influenced by the past generations! I love these musicians of the 60's and 70's. This man had a soulful voice and could sing his ass off!
@BradinPhilippines just because music has become more formulaic (is this a word?) today doesn't mean we don't have quality music still. our generation is more than capable of providing decent music, its just harder to find and the fanbase is not as big as it was then, its more diverse now.
I love him. He's so gifted, talented, and unique. Even though he is getting older, he still has every bit of soul in him and it still shines just as brilliantly. What an amazing voice! I'd have his babies. Haha!!!
@stuart556 /watch?v=5d0VpapRIWc <- Where's the geordie accent here???? Eric sold out years ago to suck up to the Americans with his American Accent. lol. Good luck to him though, the guy has always been my favourite singer and like he says here in this interview, he'll do crap to make money. One day he'll get back to being a Jazzer.
I had the real priveledge of meeting Eric in Peterborough On in a small bar maybe touen years ago..and this man is still so genuine and sings so much from the heart..
you are an amazing man Eric Burden and your friends in Canada love you
He was 69 years young when this interview was recorded pendant le Festival de Jazz de Montréal. May his Northerner accent stay strong for many years to come. Cheers mate!
@CherryAngelV8SS Glad to know he still sounds great and is still kickin around. I have a couple of his classic early vinyl albums and I'll never part with them! They mean too much to me...
