  • EVERY SINGLE TIME I FINISH WATCHING THIS IM TOTALLY AMAZED AND MORE IN LOVE WITH MUSIC.....................GOD BLESS YOU JACO!

  • I LOVE YOU JACO !!!,,,,,,, :)

  • :D

  • I have plenty of respect for Jaco, but this is a sad, sad instructional video. It has a few good nugents, and this ain't one of them.

  • @swwaddell This instructional video is for "Advanced" musicians.

  • @muzio78 Which makes the 80 percent of it that sucks suck less how exactly?

  • @swwaddell What exactly is bad about it? I found most of it interesting.

  • @langerzoriginal Naahh, he just turns his thumb 180° around the axis before bending it, like all alien bass players do! LOL

  • does this song have a name?

  • Oh Lawd, not that damn Amerika random burblings of crap thing again.

  • @swwaddell have some respect please!!!!

  • recording in a studio with a small audience so you get both elements-smart and respectful polite bass genius

  • Gosh...I feel seriously blue as a musician when seeing jaco

playing with a smile on his face...

    R.I.P JACO!!!

  • jaco would have been better joker than ledger...

  • How come every video I watch there has to be a group of people absolutely convinced that the people or person in the video "is tripping". It seems to me like they're being themselves.

  • What song is he playing on the piano at the end? It's so familiar!

  • liberty city

  • <3 Libery city, at the end.

    just wonderful.

he was almost a better composer than a bass player.

  • hmm, poor fella, great musician. It's a shame that his friends and family didn't do more to help him with his condition. It must be hard to recognize bipolar as a serious problem, especially if ur into the sauce as well. he sorta became an outcast cause of it. damn shame.

  • his family did try to help him and his friends, but he pushed them away very sad story.

  • Love Jaco's take on "If I only had a brain" at the 2:00 mark!

  • "these guys are high" - gawd, that's too funny. Jaco was basically a street person when they recorded this series...they did it mostly to help him get some cash and get back on his feet. For the record...he was bipolar...and a drunk....didn't do much of any 'drugs'. Jerry and Ken are just goofin' along with Jaco.

Yes...he played a fretted bass in this series a bunch - there are some clips where he plays a fretless too.

  • "didn't do much of any drugs"

Um yeah, Jaco snorted cocaine, like it was going out of style. When they made this video, they had to lock him in a hotel suite (with the mini-bar removed)for a few days, to make sure he couldn't get any blow. One of the most unfortunate circumstances of his later life, was that it became like a "thing to do" for live music fans in NYC, to get some coke and find Jaco, so he would hang out with you all night.

  • Jaco on a fretted?

  • yeah, for most of the instruction video he plays that bass, which is a Jazz Bass with a Precision neck.

  • that bass belongs to jeff andrews jaco borrowed it because his was stolen

  • where did you hear that?

  • I am friends with one of jacos` old friends they lived together, also i am in touch with jacos` ex wife Ingrid she gave me this info she is a lovely person.

  • huh, I thought the neck looked a little big and wide to be a J.

  • aguante jacko

  • Yeah they trippin but they good!!!! Damn good!

  • how can you be so sure they are tripping or in drugs?

  • they are trippin on acid. at least kenwood dennard is lol.

  • these guys are high
