Handel with his usual sublime composition. I also am pleased to hear a countertenor singing this, although I am disappointed with the voice. His heavy vibrato and loose, 20th-century technique sounds as though he is trying to imitate Lorraine Hunt-Lieberson rather than to sing this Baroque aria in a more focused, Baroque style.
This is for mezzo and sounds better being sung by one.
