my car actually broke down on the houston st bridge and we got chased off the bridge by a really big dog, nearly got ran over by a semi and by the time we look back it's gone. yeah weird shit goes on there.
Oak Cliff is the prettiest part of Dallas and it has real people living there who will stop and give you directions. Downtown was a cool place until all the corporations moved out to the suburbs while the liberals moved in to build the gated community of Uptown. They are now in the process of building lots of parks and fake bridges across the Trinity River that go nowhere. The Art's District and the Light Rail are swell things though and the Library is really nifty.
if they revitalized sylvan ave. and just put a tourism sign along the commerce st exit at the end of woodall rodgers, that'd be all they'd have to do. i support everything except trinity pkwy and the margret hill bridge.
