I love Hondas but the one major beef I have with them is this. They have a car that can compete with Subaru and Mitsubishi but wont bring it to the stats. People would buy this car. If your listing Honda get a clue.

Honda did bring this car to the states, it's called the Civic Si. The engine used in that car is identical to the ones we have here. In fact, the Si sedan is actually the JDM Civic Type-R but lacking the body kit, wheels, and badging. Americans don't buy hatchbacks, so that's why we don't have one.

Damn ur info is wrong... the USDM Si uses a K20Z3... the FN2 uses a K20Z4... same tranny... the USDM FA5 (Si) is not the same as the JDM FD2 (Type-R)... FD2 uses a newer variant of the K20A and completely different gearing in the tranny... I won't mention anything about the suspension being different or the fact that the FD2 uses hydrolic power steering while the USDM/EDM uses EPS (electronic power steering)... don't comment ever again please...

Now I want an awd turbo version of my US 2007 Civic coupe! Although I like my coupes shape better than the Euro hatch. This version reminds me quite a bit of the Peugeot 206 WRC and I fell in love with that car while playing Gran Turismo 3's rally tracks.

Hey buddy, just to let you know, this Civic is still using the NA K20 motor (tuned to 265hp =O ) and still FWD. I think WRC is planning to shift into the Super 2000 and the Production car class to save costs so other companys can participate.

it is not a honda sponsored car it is oputsoruced to a diffrent company, i forget the name, it is built to fia standards

This car is homologated for the future group R rules which will be introduced next year, so for this year it will enter rallies in the A7 class.

It should make its competition debut in next weekend's Rally Mille Miglia.
