While Intamin did make the strata coasters, let's not forget how much of a headache TTD and KK were in terms of repairs due to how extremely sophisticated they both are. It's great to be innovative with design, but reliability and safety is just as important. And let's not forget how I305 had to have a whole section of track REDESIGNED just after ONE SEASON due to the extreme g-forces and wheel wear. Intamin failed right there.
b&m conquers intamin. sure intamin has the tallest and fastest roller coasters on the planet, but b&m has similar designs in all their coasters, those designs are awesome, b&ms are very smooth, rarely have accidents, are very reliable, every one of them is a superb ride experience, and i like none other roller coaster manufacturer better. intamin has great creations, but b&ms are even greater.
I never rode a B&M (unless Scorpion at Busch Gardens is B&M), but I already rode 2 Intamins, None of them were these triple track ones. It's definitely a hard choice, but I think (in videos) that Intamin is more my style.
In my opinion everything that B&M does is best. for example no-one does better inverts then they do, same for flyers, sitting, floorless and all other looping coasters, B&M does that best. I think that everything they do, they are best in that category, while intamin does more stuff. I think B&M is better quality though ive never had a problem with a B&M, but ive had maverick, fahrenheit, kingda ka, intimidator 305 all break down on me. it can get really frustrating.
It's a tough call. Intamin pushes the envelope a little bit more in terms of launch coasters and strong negative G's, but at the same time their rides aren't known for their reliability. I have had Intamin rides breakdown on me way more than B&M rides. B&M Mega-coasters are typically better though, and I love their Inverts. Also B&M has a greater variety of coasters. I'm gonna have to say B&M. Maverick does hold #1 on my top coaster list but I have more B&M's in my top ten than Intamins
well intamins coasters are usually more intense and can be a little painful but still super fun at the same time. b&m coasters usually arent that creative and pretty tame so everyone can enjoy them but they still have real loops and big drops and the seats and restraints are much more comfortable. I say for rollercoaster enthusiasts like me intamin is better, but for the average rider b&m is better
@GooseAnimatics True, and they are all very good coasters. But are they as good as say Intimadator 305, Millennium Force, the mammoth wooden coaster that is El-Toro, Bizarro (formally Superman ride of steel, winner of the golden ticket best steel coaster in the world for 5 years), Expedition GeForce, I Speed, Maverick, Fahrenheit, the soon to be fastest coaster in the world (at 150mph!) Formula Rossa. Then theres Thunder Dolphin uses buildings on the middle of a city as supports. Its a tough one
@xtremecoasters I've never been on any of those :L I live in England. I've been on Colossus, Stealth, Xcelerator, Furious Baco, and a few other Intamin rides, but I'm going on more when I go to Alton Towers on Wednesday.
@xtremecoasters I've seen them, and I'd love to ride, I just don't go to those places, but I'm going to New York and Florida next year and going to three theme parks :)
Intamin all the way baby. The best rides in Cedar point are all Intamin's rides. I would take MF, TTD, Wicked Twister and Maverick over Mantis or Raptor any day. B&M have just got too repetitive and stale for me !
Great are great, but B&M's time is fast running out. There coasters have not progressed in the past decade, where as Intamin pushes today's technology to the limit in terms of both height and speed. Both company's coasters are butter smooth, but I think I'm going to go for Intamin. Millennium Force, El-Toro, Dragster, Volcano etc are all perfect examples of how Intamin have left B&M behind. And lets not forget this years Intimidator battle. Intimadator305 looks much better than B&M's version !
what about oblivion, sheikra, tatsu, bizarro (medusa), batman the ride? B&M was the first to build the floorless coaster in 1999, the inverted coaster in 1992 the dive coaster in 1998 and they sure made the flying coaster into something amazing in 2001. So most of those are from the 90's but i say B&M is pretty amazing. without them roller coasters would be A LOT less advanced.
For me, Intamin coasters are the best!!

My favorite is B&M. Even though my favorite coaster Millenium Force is Intamin. Intamin is my second favorite.
gamepro217 1 year ago
these two are my favourite steel and wooden(intamin) coastermanufactures.
But I like intamin a bit mor, because their rides are waaaaaaaaaay more innovative.
B&M has mostly the same layouts.

@wowzers9088
intamin is the one who comes up with new technologies
the floorless coaster is the same thing as a normal sit down so that does not count
and intamin was the first with a 90 degree drop and the first to go beyond,
face it intamin is the one who is innovative

Hard to chose it Intamin can build tallest roller coaster and bigger and B&M never try bulid to 300ft hope one day.
B&M was brilliant ride it smooth i like it Awesome :D. mmmm.. I can't help I like both :D I love Roller Coaster

They're hard to compare b/c they build different kinds of coasters. I do, however, think that Riddler's Revenge & Scream aren't all that special.
