does any one know what kind of pick up and guitars they are using..in this video they are micd but most videos i'[ve seen they are playing plugged but their sound is still so acoustic..not the percussive hard sounding sound from the usual nylon electro-acoustics i know.

J'ai eu le plaisir de rencontrer Jorge Strunz à Venice (Los Angeles) en 1975 et j'ai même pris quelques cours de guitare avec lui. A cette époque il jouait en groupe, du jazzrock-fusion inspiré du Mahavishnu Orchestra et il avait même sorti un superbe album du nom de Caldera, à découvrir absolument.

This is not jazz nor latin at all. Its PERSIAN . The song is written by ardeshir farah who as persian. You can say it has some jazz flavor in it but its not jazz i would call it world music but its difinately has persian elements more

Every one of them isawesome. Farah is out of this world, the melody is so unmistakably Persian and he is the reason. The tombak that drives the music, the beautiful violin, the graceful dancer and of course Mr. Strunz another great master.
