@fwends143 actually no they are not the same . . . . yes aishteru --> is "I love you" but when for daisuki dayo its --> i Like you . . .. and in japan when you say i like you to other countries its already similar to i love you . . .. . . aishteru is usually used for couples who are married or more than BF/GF . . . . xD

it is extremely rare to hear someone say "aishiteru". It is far more common to hear "daisuki da yo" in Japan, as it doesn't seem as heavy and as imposing as "aishiteru". So "daisuki da yo" DOES mean "I love you" in that kind of context.

Dai suki isn't really considered 'kiddy like' it's just more appropriate. It's the equivalent of 'I love you' in Japanese and Ai shiteru is like the equivalent to 'I really adore you'
