In sara's part of the song, she doesn't tune down. But plays a different riff for the most part. In tegan's part of the song, tune the A string down to G. Start on the 13th fret on the 5th string. You should be able to figure it out from there. During the "nobody, nobody, nobody" part, the riff decends, and then ascends. Thats it! I think Im going to post a video how to play. (both parts)

You can't play it with standard tuning.. I have NO CLUE how this guy did it... although it sounds right. But I have to do it the cheating way and use an electronic tuner (no capo on) and tune down the A string until it reads G on the tuner. Then capo on fret 1 :)

hummm... if you don't have a capo it's fine, you'll still be able to play the song. it'll just be in the wrong key, but that won't matter unless you're playing with other instruments that are in the right key. a capo changes the key for the whole guitar, like having a bar on the first fret the whole time, but since there aren't any chords in this song that use the first fret, it's easier to have a prmanent bar there than having a finger making a bar on the 1st fret, so ---> capo. vous comprenez?

it's actually 13, 12, 0, 6, 8 with A as G... don't listen to guitar tabs websites because they're wrong. just watch any video of the con and look at her hands. i've studied the extensively and that way sounds perfect, im 100% sure.

it actually is but if you play it on an electric guitar you should turn down bass and middle and turn up treble

but I think it sounds way better on an acoustic guitar anyway ;)

hmmm... I watched this video before and was pretty sure that there was something off about it. So I looked at various videos of them playing the song and i am pretty sure they go from the 13th fret, to the 12th, to the 6th, and to the 8th... but for some reason it still sounds off... does anyone know the tuning? It can't be standard.. and I am using a capo.
