The AIA starts with very skeptical presuppositions against Jesus and bases their research soley on physical evidence which is just insane considering we are talking about a person that lived 2,000 years ago and has been documented extensively in recorded historical accounts. People with schizotypal personality disorder and relatives of schizophrenics tend to be very creative and prominent in history. The world would stagnate if we drugged into conformism everyone who thought or behaved differently. I am an atheist too and think religion is a potential source of harm but I think you're attacking the wrong traits here. Most of the problems with religion come from people having a LACK of creative thought and ability to question or reject norms, not too much of it.

If the person is happy having visions and not causing others problems then forcing them to get treatment with negative side effects would not help anyone.
