Sally Field's mother, Margaret, who eventually marrried western actor Jock Mahoney, is Gene's "leading lady" in this one. Coincidentally, Dick Jones, who co-starred with Jock Mahoney in Autry's "RANGE RIDER" series, plays the kid Gene's trying to save in this episode...
