Plus, the Taliban did have it's opium operation still in full swing the entire time. How could they restart it after the invasion when their government was overrun within a week. @73mandala The Northern Alliance had a small section in Northern Afghanistan, i.e. NORTHERN Alliance. You can read all you want to, but I was with one of the first groups in Afghanistan in 2001. There were poppy fields everywhere, even the area that the Taliban controlled, plus there were pot plants everywhere too.
