There is no respect for security officers. Security basically have no powers of arrests, they are not backed by the company they work for. Companies are so scared of getting sued that if a security officer gets attacked and defends himself/herself by using counter force, the company will fire them and won't defend them. It's a no win job. I work security part time but I don't get into anything. If I see something I just call 911 and have the police handle it.

he hadn't actuallt taken anything on one of them and just set the alarm off. if they touch you for that and grab you by right you can sue them or defend against them with what ever force necessary. I still think its scary to see these security go grabbing people like this just because they have taken something. its still assault regardless.

@dogpoundgangstar I refuse to use a store where you are suspected of beign a potential theif just by looking and examining products. It's rediculous. some places are worse than others depending on how well their training is done. I think it is a sad state of affairs that you cannot go into a shop without being suspecting of being a potential shoplifter. This is why i buy online as i refuse to give these scumbags my custom. when im stared at i lose my appetite

@1982FMJ What is sad is, they are specifically trained NOT to do that because it drives away customers. This is also why a lot of SOs get fired. You are not to assume nor profile anyone of shoplifting as it is not only against the law but also against a large number of security services policies
