@08turboSS Where are you getting that info from? The auto and the manual GXP have the same horsepower, and most autos now-a-days shift faster than any human with a manual can.
If this was a GXP automatic ( the GXP auto actually makes 395 hp) the M-6 GXP makes the 415 hp The GXP autos are slow and on dynos have shown 25-45 less rwhp then a stick...
@797ralbert.... Pontiac did not build or sponsor the firehawk GXP.. It is not the top... Patrick is correct.. And, the GXP has over 65 hp more and 40 more lb/ft of tq.. Stock for stock It will slap a G8 GT silly... The GXP has the LS3 vet motor... The G8 GT has a truck powered L series V8 engine
@08turboSS So you are telling me Pontiac offers no warranty with the Firehawk? I highly doubt that. All they did was send over 9 cars, straight out of the factory, to SLP and they hooked them the fuck up.
The 6 speed auto in the GT (which is the same transmission as the GXP if equipped with auto) is easier to drive fast. The 6 speed manual which is the transmissions of choice on the GXP is just harder to launch - but with good tires and a good launch the GXP will always be faster than the GT. All the same - I love my GT.

The sport shit mode on the GT is badass - I've beat cars with hp in the low 400s with this just becasue the transmission shifts are on point.
