@MyProvider777 A great addition is NoScript. NoScript blocks every script from every page until and unless you allow them. You'll be SHOCKED at how many sites are trying to run scripts on your system once you get it...
its a tracking cookie of course. But I would use firefox with no script blocking addon, and always block google, because they are the biggest data thieves on the net.
It's not the "internet". Avon is just tracking what you viewed.
When you use Avon's site, items viewed are stored in a cookie (only be readable by avon's site). You then went to another site serving ads from avon's site. The ad can read your avon cookie because it's from avon's domain (photobucket has no idea what ad you are seeing). Once it reads your cookie it customises the ad according to your avon cookie.
It's really not a big deal :) You can clear cookies if it bothers you.
I posted a video from Alex Jones on my Facebook today and minutes later my account was gone and it's been 10 hours now. I still cannot log on so i went to my husband's FB account and tried to access my profile and it said "page not found". Be VERY careful with FB. It is VERY censored!
i have often thought about going old skewl and getting rid of all the technology, then i think about the 1 hour drive to get into town to get supplies and i grit my teeth and bear it.... aggravating.
@evcrawfish You aren't alone. I've been having a very bad week where technology is concerned. Actually a bad month. I keep finding myself wanting to be done with most of it, yet I am tied to it like shackles and I am starting to hate it and resent it more every day.
because my business is online, I have to advertise all the time just to make any money and I feel like I've become nothing but an advertising whore. There has got to be a better way.
yes, I can believe that they are spying. I try to clear out the cookies often. hmm.. just what is the purpose of all the 'spyware' protection then. just curious. On my computer, I have a little icon that is a 'crossed out eyeball' that indicates according to my hubby, that no one can 'see through' pardon the expression. God bless.
I've known this for a while or at least assumed it. The idea is to market products to potential customers. I don't know if this should concern me that much or not.

if you use Firefox browser, you can use Adblock Plus addon to block these ads. once installed, simply right-click on the ad and block it. simple.
God Bless.
