I like Foo Fighters as a band, but i pretty much disklike Dave Grohl, mainly because he formed the band just 6 months after Kurt's dead. I am a huge fan of Nirvana and Kurt Cobain, and I think Dave doesn't share the Nirvana's " no commercialism " way. But all in all, Foo Fighters are post-Nirvana band and their debut album, proves it :]

He made a cassette tape of some songs he wrote and showed it to friends. Some big guys heard it and loved it and wanted Dave, but Dave realized he needed a band. And Nirvana never had a "No commercialism" view.
