The problem with this show and project runway is that they are not real competitions. They are primarily story shows that have a narrative arc with villains, good guys,, intrigue, plot points etc.

Any of the designers who were eliminated early on could have made it into the final four if they had just lasted long enough and shown their worst work later in the so called competition.
