I only killed Dracula like that with the shield and stuff after I beat the game 5 times, but that was to see how long he would last, same thing with the cheap sword you get from the ghost things in the reverse library, the first time i defeated dracula was with the freakin Alucard sword and it took forever even though i thought it would be more powerful.

@blyons1555 Equip the shield rod in one hand and a shield of your choosing in the other. Press the attack button for both hands simultaneously, the spell you cast depends on the shield you have equipped.
