  • Would the tectonic plates currently ripping Nigeria become wide open in lieu of the massive oil discoveries in Imo and Anambra?

  • Its all true.........

  • Instead of saying that what the woman just said was lies how about we Nigerians pray that what she is saying actually comes to pass in the nearest future.

  • Really....Improve road and electricity? we r waiting o.....when inflation is....Inflation and umemployment don't attract they repel..

  • Take a new poll! This is stale news.

  • who told u to say this or u mistook nigeria for another country?

  • How much dem pay this woman for these lies??

  • Na lie ....o! No bi today!

  • Is the economy still rising or is it now falling on all fours?

  • "United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has released a damning report on the food insecurity situation and poverty level in Nigeria, stating that about 138.6 million Nigerians live on less than N302 naira ($2.00) per day. According to Mr. Tim Prewitt, Managing Director, USAID Markets ... the figure represents 92.4 percent of the country's population." - Nigerian Tribune. Monday September 14, 2009.

  • is this really true?if it is, i'm so happy

  • Now they have taken all the eggheads-Igbos like Soludo, Okonjo-Iweala, etc- that were bringing progress to the coutry!!! What is wrong with Nigeria? Read an interview today where theHausa Northern group NPF or something said that 'they' removed soludo the Central Bank Governor because his policies were only good for an advanced country and that he neglected agriculture. Tell me is CBN the Agriculture Ministry? Nigeria we hail thee!!!!!

  • obasanjo is a stupid motherfucker.

i hate that man. he is such a fake!

  • please believe me she is not saying the truth.they gave her a wrong report about nigeria :(

  • then you should write the real report cause it's in every internet from UN to World bank to Wikipedia to CIA factbookbook, etc. I guess everyone got a wrong report so you should write the real report and send it out so they can correct it.

  • Are you still here promoting a dead country, whose only achievement has been to bomb women and children, and the old. You should be ashamed of yourself supporting evil.

  • Can you just leave me the hell alone. Biko. i've asked okoroman the same thing, now i'm asking you the same thing. I stayed away from you guys, so please do the same with me. Thanks.

  • How I wish to leave you alone, but you have become a public figure. Besides those who support evil and wickedness should not hope to be left alone by those who support truth and justice.

  • Good for you. Now leave.

  • You are just so daft and full of hate. But I love you my dear little sister. Think a little about your stiffling people at home.

  • full of hate? don't you think you are a pot calling a kettle black?. I don't think hate anyone, just i want you to leave me alone.

  • LOL i messed up. I meant, i don't hate anyone, i want you to just leave me alone.

  • We are not...

    We are not Nigerians.

    We are not lazy parasites.

    We are not colonizers.

    We are not usurpers.

    We are not Feudalists.

We are not a culture of killers and society of murderers and Genocidists.

  • There is plenty to do in Nigeria. Everything needs fixing. We start the nation confused, we're still confused. Million of bright Nigerians have fled. We must remind ourselves that Nigeria is very complex with a very young democracy & haemorrhaging talents. We have challenged the wrong mistakes in the past (corruption), we must now work to be humble, patient and prepared to design new systems thats fit for purpose. Corruption is not our problem, weak and flawed systems is.

  • Who are the we you are talking about?

  • Only people of knowledge will understand that bad government and lack of direction in executing gov. policies is our major problem in Nigeria. America is a nation of Lobbyist (bribe senators) yet America is the strongest economy! Great Britain a country where MP(member of parliament) use false claims in spending public money, yet GB economy is taking shape after recession! We have both human and material resources and yet we wallow in abject poverty..something is wrong with our system...F4T.

  • I agree totally..... the problem with Nigeria is one of weak systems. The example you gave demonstrates this point. The expense system for British MPs was weak and it was abused. However, the majority of systems in the UK are robust so they are doing better than us if you base your assessment on life expectancy and achievement. Nigeria on the other is plagued with flawed system which we must except as a challenge to fix.

  • Now that you have agreed that something is wrong with your system, may be you now agree with me that your foundation is evil, which have not changed even now. But I beg to disagree with you slightly; I will say something is also wrong with you who cannot identify the thing which is wrong with your system nor know how to go about changing it, instead turns around to demonize those who know and are couragious enough to voice it, and to agitate for it - the Biafrans!

  • there aren't anything developing in Nigeria

  • tell me whats developing in nigeria?quality of life?human right?freedom of speech?freedom to choose or voice opinion?what type of economy did nigeria has fragile oil economy based on looting public fund .ia m only 29 years folks.

  • im sick and tired of every body from over there ,to be honest with you is not getting any better.nigeria ,naija, naija what for show me why do you glory on fables rather than truth and simple people?

  • tell me how many company has thrived economic wise or publicly announce their annual profit in this desolete ,propaganda loving nation.

  • if it is an option to choose a place of birth,or choice to choose i will never wanna choose a place called by nigeria.

  • the world economy has seadily continue in its collapsing programme, its impact is still yet to surface.some strong evidence has been viewed right recenly.the most powerful economy has been drastically draining into instabilies and lack of fund.nigeria issue is like revisiting ice-age.the worst place on the planet earth.

  • Nigeria, a failed state, say Utomi, others

Guardian (Nigerian Newspapers), Friday, February 06, 2009

Predict bank collapse, more economic crisis

NIGERIA'S inability to record development in almost every area of its national life is an indication that it is a failed state, according to some of the country's prominent citizens.

  • Okoroman, I have seen a lot of comments and postings from you. What are the options you're suggesting? Nigeria is failing, you're concerned and I am too. What can you do (have done) today to make things better? Your postings are very thought provoking and presumably your views which you're entitled to, but do you intend for them to help?

  • @thisisek.. Okoroman is clueless and has no solution than breakaway from Nigeria forgetting that if in physical term, Igbo people are allow to breakaway!! what are people like him going to do with the already corrupt leaders from Igbo land who will keep people like him in boundage....He forgot that there will be serious problem on how to survive and sharing of wealth.... also they will be face with the same current problems Nigeria is facing...He is just a cluless man that want war!

  • Nigeria is Nigeria, Biafra is Biafra; the two are not the same. When Biafra comes, it will not be like Nigeria. We should not bother ourselves about what the future holds, because Biafra is not nigeris; Biafra is not founded in evil and sustained by evil.

  • Onyibeb! you may be Biafra Apostle, but that does not give you the right to denied the fact that Nigerian woes today was a contribution of all politicians from all part of Nigeria. Do i need to name your brothers who stole our billions? nay because you know them, but the anti-Nigerian sentiments in you and other Biafra will never allow you people to reason in the right direction. Igbo land is the worst of all places in Nigeria..lack of unity ,no respect for elders.who will lead you? food4thought

  • Nigeria's woes is rooted in its foundation, which is evil. We know those who own Nigerian, the Hausa Fulani Oligachy, suppoeted by the Yoruba. Their are evil rulers can recruit fpeople rom anywhere, people who are willing to do their bidding - Igbo or not, I am not moved. And those of you that have reason in the right direction for the past fifty years, what ate your fruits? Murder and rape and taking your country back to the stone age. Nigerians are shameless!

  • My friend (no doubt this will offend Okoroman, then again the sun rising upsets him!), without wasting time, the largest black nation in world is under achieving, when can we start to use our individual intelligence to create effective systems?

  • Yasmin, stop decieving ppl. Prove it?

  • yes developing

  • Nigeria is developing and will develop.Amen todat and to those spammers.

  • HOPE of the Federal Government to guarantee constant electricity supply in the country seems to have been dashed.Indication to this emerged at the weekend as the Federal Government planned to spend N2 billion to fuel and maintain its generating sets (Nigerian Tribune: Jan 6,2009)Yes developing. Other nations have development you can see and touch. But in Nigeria, development is in the hallucinating mind of the dumb asses. Shameless people!

  • lol

  • Yes developing Amen

  • Thousands of Nigerian workers may soon join the unemployed millions, if two multi-national companies carry out their plans to leave the country. Unilever Plc and Paterson Zochonis (PZ) Plc are considering pulling out of Nigeria, with possible relocation to neighbouring, Ghana they could no longer bear the loss to business from the continued deplorable state of basic infrastructure in the country. (Compass: Feb 5, 2009) Nigeria is dying, will die, and we will sing its requiem. Biafra Alive!

  • lol, u are in Nigeria still u wish Nigeria death? u really are in a illusion, Nigeria can't die, it's ur biafra that's dead, u fail to understand this. I will nbot argue with u provided u stay in ur own videos.

  • we should fight corrupt govt join the fight against nigeria govt now, we should use the internet your country needs you start the fight now start today, start nw. fight agaist poverty ,lies, corruption . join the fight free us all. you are needed join the fight now use the internet as your weapon

  • FORMER President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday told Nigerians to brace up for tough challenges this year, as the country is not insulated from the effects of the current global economic recession. He gave the advice at his Hilltop residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State, during a New Year courtesy call on him by Governor Gbenga Daniel and some members of the state executive council. (National Compass: Dec 2, 2009)

  • Maybe due to oil prizes falling and the Militants slashing production by 20%.

More countries are producing oil, Uganda, Ghana just discovered, Angola...so the more supply, less demand. That's why he said the country is not insulated. Let's tell the militants to stop.

  • Stop so that what will happen? So that evil Nigeria rulers will have more to steal and to develop Abuja and Lagos, avoiding where the money is coming from? No the militants must continue!

  • Do u like it that militants give the south a bad name or Nigeria? do u like war so children can weep and cry? do u not ever see the future, don't u ask urself why and what is Biafra?

  • Biafra? Oh yes, I spoke about it, because that is my land; that is my country. But you appear to tell me I do not understand what it is all about. Now you tell me, I am listening.

  • The you like the genocide at Odi and all other places in the former eastern region, so that the North and the West will continue to steal the people's resources?

  • God help us then! but we must learn to help each other so we wouldn't fall again. why do we ppl never learn from the past?

  • You never learn from your past because what drives other nations and their leaders is not the same that drive the criminal gangs that call themselves leaders in Nigeria. The country is fundamentally flawed, and until you "one Nigerians" understand this, your country will continue to be a laughing stock in the world.

  • describe what part of economy is growing, propaganda news, just to assume nigeria belongs the world first class economy, see for your self from the video back ground, kingdom of rags, poverty, dirt, zombis, filthy, diseases, religious fascisms, riots, ghetto, slums, hoods, illitrates, educated fools, ugili aliens, bare foot squats, salvages from every level ,yooooooooooo wake people up, salvage morons, every thing look so ugly right there.

  • i was growing as ajuvenile in the worst part of the globe call nigeria, but thank god ,i escaped from this earth hell call nigeria to u.s for many years since ileft ,thing still look and sound the same,

  • Godwin Ndudi Elumelu: "Let us stop deceiving ourselves. It is important to tell Nigerians the truth and stop deceiving ourselves."

  • Here we go again,Obasanjo has done absolutely nothing,How can our economy rise when we have selfish leaders and thieves. This is a typical lie

  • Deceit in power sector, by Reps panel

From Emeka Anuforo, The Gaurdian (Nigerian Papers) Abuja, July 30 2008

"[IT was nothing less than an electric shock yesterday when the chairman of the House of Representatives panel that probed the nation's power sector took the floor at a forum on the sector in Abuja.]"

  • "[And the clincher in his submission was the kind of electrocuting jolt the nation could never have expected: "Let us stop deceiving ourselves. It is important to tell Nigerians the truth. The National Integrated Power Project never existed in the first place. NIPP does not exist. It does not just exist...!" Elumelu submitted to the consternation of all present.]"

  • "[He also alleged that some persons tried bribing his committee to stop the probe.

His words: "So many people have died because of power failure in Nigeria. I have sworn that I will not touch any kobo during the power probe. It is blood money and I can't touch it! Many people have suffered untold hardship. Many have died from kerosene explosion trying to energize their lanterns all because we don't have regular electricity.]"

  • "[He wondered why "some people" are frustrating efforts to make the content of the report public, stressing: "We should not allow that report to be swept under the carpet. It should be made public for Nigerians to know what went wrong."

He alleged: "They have connived with media men to frustrate the public presentation of the report. Why are they afraid? Why? They should allow Nigerians to know what we have done. They should allow Nigerians to know what has gone wrong.]"

  • That is from the Nigerian Newspapers. What happened to the 16 billion? Nigerian Governemt- A government of Armed Robbers, by armed Robbers for Armed Robbers.

As for those of you who call yourselves Nigerian, Remeber Elumelu: "Let us stop deceiving ourselves. It is important to tell Nigerians the truth and stop deceiving ourselves."

  • The Video gives hope- may not be fully accurate. Enough of the doomsaying.

  • Voice of Biafra International (VOBI) is moving to 19 Metre Band (15.25MHz frequency) Starting Friday, July 11, 2008.(9.00pm) Biafraland time.

  • fuck oof and die

  • I have heard such trash and nonsense; the virtuperation of men who cannot advance a superior arguement. Ofcourse such men as Ligervich can only do so because they are daft. That is why you believe this trash that nigerian economy is rising. Go to Nigeria to day, the people provide their own water supply, electric supply, and security. The only thing they have not been able to do is provide their roads. In other words, your evil nigeria is a failed-state.Hear that? Failed-state!

  • bollocks

  • I see the hand of one criminal and madman raising the hand of another, and fools are celebrating it. How can an economy rise without electricity? Is it magic? Who does not know that nigeria is already a failed state? The funny thing is that these men are so taking over by their foolishness and folly that they do not know the mockery they expose themselves to worldwide. How can Yar'Adua who stole presidency with thousands murdered in the process, agree to this broadcast if he is not a big fool.

  • What is meant by "Nigerian economy"? Is it Abuja Economy or Lagos Economy? Seriously what yardstick? What measurement? Who is taking measurements? Who provided the the statistical data? Who keyed in the values? Who protects the data? Is this a Nigerian arrangement?

This is an image laundry documentary - one which could only come from a Nigerian mind thinking that the use of a light skinned person (or white) should sell the lie.

  • Notice: at the time when Biafrans are struggling for Independence, this documentary uses a background image of the late Nnamdi Azikiwe on the 500 Naira worthless Bill to entice the Igbo (Biafrans)population who want to get out of the hell. There is no progress .

  • Apostles of "One-Nigerianism" may keep trying to excuse the inexcusable and defend indefensible about the sick status of the crumbling State of Nigeria. What is the excuse for what is happening in the "Niger-Delta" this time? - and this I suppose is this not part of the "Nigerian Economy". Nigeria has now developed more sophisticated image laundry programmes such as this.

  • good video i like the way that the country is going now.

  • Then you must be a big fool believing the lies of criminals who murder their citizens everyday, yet could not provide ordinary electricity, jobs, food, or roads. So you cannot discern between image laundering and image laundering stunts? How can you watch this propaganda and conclude that a country slipping into the abbyse as Biafrans are exiting it, and conclude that it is growing? Get knowledge, get information before you make senseless comments.

  • Willbackbone, if you hate nigeria why do you have to come here to watch nigerian videos, why don't you go back home and weep, your country is not any better.so no one gives a flying fuck what you think about nigeria

  • That's one hot chick! must be dating a Nigerian dude with the way she pronounced those tongue biting names ..lol

  • people, please have a Kitkat! Whats all this shit all about? As a matter of fact there are actually changes going on in Nigeria take it or live it. Indeed, I agree that we have a very looooooooooooong way to go. Lets encourage those doing something good and punish the evildoers. We should avoid putting all the people in the same pot. BTW, u expect the Govt to do all things, what about you people also doing just even one single positive thing in Nigeria rather than condemning all the time?

  • Those changes are most evident: constant murder of innocent Biafrans; stealing of the Niger Delta oil and committing genocide on the peopel; election rigging, corruption, importation of refined fuel, importation of tricycles from India; collapsed education; bad roads; and list can go on. You must be daft to make that statememt.

  • Bullshit this is one of the worst places in the world to live basically its a shithole. Crime, poverty, its dirty and its where the worlds scammers (419 Mugus) live. President Bush should send a few B1-B Bombers over there to kick some nigerian ass.

  • good news indeed.

  • postive good news.

  • WHO PAID YOU,WHO?

  • She must have been paid to post this Bull Sh**T on YOUTUBE

  • armenian american bitch

  • By what yardstick is progress being measured, I mean really? Economic progress for 0.01% of the population is not progress at all. There might be a unique set of parameters used to measure economic progress in Nigeria but I don't think the rest of the developed world would find those acceptable. There will be no change until Nigerian politicians have all had an epiphany (of the non-religious kind). Our oil-producing counterparts i.e. U.A.E. & Russia, have done a lot more with their oil revenues

  • Well said, there are amazing changes taking place in Nigeria and indeed the west african sub region, once we have a west african common currency things will be even much better, through financial integration..

  • complete bullshit!! The country continues to be run by hyenas, vultures and parasites that are milking the country dry.

  • I recommend that you read:

We need to "rebuild" Nigeria. It is a worn-out garment. We need to find ways of developing new systems(maybe strengthening or reorganizing already existing ones), culture, new cities for business etc. Its sheer waste of time fixing a worn-out garment. Until thats done, the cycle will continue. I see the current progress as still a mirage. And all these don't have to be done by the government cos they are obviously not competent.

  • Finally some improvement,it seems that Yar Adua is going to be a good president.Nigeria also paid off 60% of debt so far.I know the change is very little though.

  • There is truth in the notion that the nigerian economy is rising at an ultra deem-witted rate to fill the pocket of the few. I really mean the very few 0.01% of the population. whao that what I call progress.

  • holy cow!!! which nigeria is she talking about?

  • boy read and watch the news. nigeria is moving up, real slowly but it's moving up thanks to yardua.

  • i was in Nigeria during summer and i was itching to get out. No steady power supply, water shortages, members of house of assembly and senate that are vision less and corrupt, decaying infrastructure, poverty, biased press, ethnic upheaval... i can go on for days listing Nigeria's problems. Yar'adua lacks legitimacy bcoz the process that brought him to power was deeply flawed. i dont need to watch and read the news to know that nigeria is sick as i saw everything myself.

  • abubakarbukar, what is bad to use is opportunity for others.

  • Good riddance of bad rubbish.Thank God the country got rid of you.We don't need your kind.

  • carry go.I am a nigerian and will always be!I am just a concerned citizen who is deeply concerned with what is happening to my country. The reason why i am not currently in nigeria is because of one thing:EDUCATION.All the nigerian universities are rubbish and you are only fooling yourself if you believe the contrary.Tell me one thing that is functioning efficiently today in nigeria apart from corruption.i am currently on holiday in nigeria and things have never been worse.the truth hurts i guess

  • No one stated that the country's out of the woods yet.And I know that we still have a long way to go in terms of basic utilities e.g stable power system, excellent transport system, education, etc (on par with the developed world). But unlike you, i still appreciate the gains, no matter how small they may be, made by our country. And i believe that things will get better in the end.

  • what are these gains you are appreciating please cite one? Or is it your delusion running wild?

  • thank u lord 4 nigeria

  • The giant of Africa is awakening, Despite all odds, Nigeria will rise again!!

  • the black-world need --the giant to wake up and lead the african-union

  • We have heard similar lines since 1960. It is madmen who continue to do the same thing and expect a different result; and hope to be cured of their madness. Shame on lying Nigeria!
