  • @jarheadtsm no it wont maybe if it is a female attacker lmao

  • This only works in Steven Seagal movies. This guy would get raped if he tried using this stuff in a real fight situation! Lmao

  • ok now in a lot of videos i see the attacker grabbing your hand, is that some psychological thing and will they always grab your hand in street fights and when actually defending yourself?

  • Why can we no longer download these to our Real Player? Makes it easier to watch when I want to.

  • @TheTurboD10 Download 'Downloadhelper' which is a firefox add-on. Google it. I use it to download videos off any web site :)

  • Si quieres terminar cuando empieza, ¿ no sería mejor tratar de evitarla ?

Aprender a defenderse lleva mucho tiempo y no hay garantía de "éxito" ( menos en estos días, que pocos riñen a mano vacía ).

  • @aikipablo100 hahahah so true

  • aikido sucks.

Brazilian jiu jitsu & MMA is 100 times more effective in real fight.

  • @BluePittbull666 oh really? I watched an arrogant MMA practitioner get beaten up by my mentor in Kyokushin karate. so, let me ask you does traditional martial arts suck?

  • When i pin someone i'm gonna sit on him lol

  • @TheBueno789 Kote Gaeshi, a basic technique.

  • I'm a very short guy. It's probable that if I were attacked it would be by someone taller and bigger than I. How would my technique differ in carrying out the moves in this video.

  • Excellent !!!

  • i love him punching his trousers at 2:01 ^^

  • why is the text on video? it very bad man!

  • NO POSSIBLE - WHEN YOU PUSH HAND THE UKE MOVES AWAY NOT STAYS ON THE PLACE!! IS IT A SURPRISE? NO IT IS A FACT - YOU PUSH HE IS MOVING AWAY

  • For some reason, looking at some of these Aikido demos, I can't help but feel that I'd rather get punched and bruised than get my arm permanently disjointed. At least a bruise will heal.

  • this guy is like a rag dole!!! feel sorry for him.

  • New Age budo, not for fighting.

  • clear and very well executed techniques...many thanks!

  • Aikido is Ideal for Multipul attackers! Bjj is great if ur one on one. Also other Useless martial arts against multipul attackers are bjj, kempo, boxing, kickboxing, gracie jj, judo.

  • @ranandom! Also nicely said! I agree with u also! Ive been taken Aikido its the best thing i ever Did! I love it! I would only use it if i really needed too! To protect myself n the people i lpve! A true Aikidoka will neva fight just to fight, What u think we r? The Mma or Ufc!

  • @Mark. Very well said Mark! Ur absolutly Right!!! One thousand percent! Why does everyone think Aikido cnt be aggresive? It can be as agressive as any other style of martial Art!! Mark u said it Best! :D

  • Very well explained n the technique is flawless! U da man Gary!!

  • These are beautifly done! I've never seen a better more concise explination of the technique.

    Laurence Lance

    Nanadan

    Okinawia Karate Kenpo Kubudo

  • спасибо за детальные объяснения. Очень доступно и понятно

  • Aikidoka or whatever you call em are funny!

  • I just wanted to ask,if i train aikido will it help me with school fights?

because i dont want to fight for a minute long...i want to finish it when he begins

  • I believe aikido will help, but you must remember that it is designed to break joints and do some real damage, you must learn control because otherwise you could risk damaging the guy for life.

That stuff you only use when your life depends on it. It can take a bit of time to get the hang of but it's great to learn

  • It will help, and eventually u wont have to do anything since ure using the power of ure opponent but as Naedbadss said, its used to break body parts so it can be dangerous to be used, it recommend this. Use Aikido ONLY when a fight get REAL dangerous, else just freestyle, like throwing some punches or some kicks, but use AIkido as a last option unless it a dangerous fight.

  • @JHRMS yea thats sum good advice to people who learn it from these videos ,but if you know what your doing you dont have to be brutal

  • If you do it right, you won't even get into fights.

  • thats so right! learn that through a book am reading now.

  • it would be better to not to fight at all~ aikido promotes peace and it's a defensive style technique, so if you wanna brawl, better not aikido

  • for that you should do kempo or shotokan..i take both of those and since the 1st fight no one else tries me..

  • Find a place that teachers good old fashioned hard Aikido. Don't go for the flowery aiki-bunny bullshit.

  • Not at all. Well, i shouldn't say that. The question is really if you want to "win" (in which case i suggest another martial art such as Hapkido or Tae Kwon Do, or even boxing), or if you dont want anyone to get hurt. Aikido is not an attack style and will do no good for you if you try and use it that way. HOWEVER it is one of the best self defense styles there is. Simply depends on what you want.

  • @ranandom - I know why you are saying this but I don't agree. Aikido can be used aggressively the same as any other martial art. Whether you CHOOSE to apply it aggressively is another matter. With good use of atemi it is fairly simple to apply aikido techniques aggressively. Whether you are good enough to do so effectively is another matter entirely. Undoubtedly though, Aikido is more effective when the energy of the attacker is used against them.

  • @markaval I think you missunderstand what i am saying. From what little i know of Aikido the point of the fight is not to "win" by dominating your opponents. You dont learn aikido to kick someones butt or to knock someone out in a fight. From what i have seen of it most of the techniques are a defense against an attack. Yes you can do them aggressively, but at its heart its still a defense. I have no issues with Aikido at all, but i do not agree with someone learning it for the wrong purposes.

  • @ranadom - nope definitely not misunderstanding you. All I'm saying is that the point of any martial art is, at the end of the day, what you choose to make it. Aikido definitely tends to best/most effectively applied in a defensive way, and you'll get no argument from me on that. But that doesn't stop anyone from taking Aikido and being able to attack with it. I'm not saying that makes it right or wrong - just that the exponent has a choice of how they want to apply what they have learned.

  • Actually pins are perfect for this kind of scenario of finishing the fight quick, execute a throw and a proper pin to show the aggressor that if he tries it again he might not escape unscathed that time.

  • @jarheadtsm yes your opponent will be on the ground without you hitting him.

  • @jarheadtsm actually,it's more on defense so you can't be offensive with this martial art.Just use it to protect yourself.

  • @jarheadtsm u can hit him if u make him fall to the ground :D (although it is against the rules)

  • @jarheadtsm You shouldn't be fighting in school at all. Avoid the fight and you don't need the defense.

  • @AurumenK Obviously you haven't attended any American public school. Avoiding a fight isn't an option when some punk ass kid is pounding on you for absolutely nothing. The world is not fair, if you haven't learned that by your tenth year of life then your going to be absolutely scared shittless when reality slaps you in the face.

  • @jarheadtsm it will you can make fun of him like if he attacks you you can counter it and make him fall to the ground its EPIC :P

  • @PcGameHunter In college, there was this bitch who always talked shit about beating people up and he was about to strike me (apparently I called him a fucking faggot bitch or somethin like that) and I countered him. I've been practicing for about a month.

  • @jarheadtsm listen ive been self teaching my self this for a year and i was with my friend at a bar 3 guys approached me..... me and my friend left standing because of the basics i taught my self this technique helped also uke nagishi iriminage aikido if using harmony to be at one with your enemies might why u want to learn (ask any martial artist never use an art for vengence or you might as well dig your own grave once u enter that mentality you have defeated your self before you begin.

  • @jarheadtsm theres no 1 week course to self defense, anyone who tells u otherwise is a scam artist, dont train to fight, train so u dont have to fight

  • @jarheadtsm you use it as a defense but use it wisely

  • @jarheadtsm iw will start helping near th 3rd kyu meaning about 2-3 years of training because the tehqniuces are hard to make fast and this is not the most best tutorial /´(estonia-keila takeda ruy-nakamura-ha)

  • @jarheadtsm yes except youd have to practice a lot because a flaw in your technique can lead to your opponent using your moves against you

  • @jarheadtsm The real world answer to your question is directly dependant on whether you train for performance or not."IT'S NOT JUST WHAT YOU KNOW IT'S HOW YOU TRAIN". I use plenty of supposedly aikido and chin na locks, but the way that I train them, the circumstances that I train them under, and thus my entries, counters, etc. are sharply different from what passes as "traditional aikido" here in the USA. Properly trained? You'll be proficient enough to use basic locks tenkans and irimis IN WEEKS.

  • @jarheadtsm it depends on the style of training you get. Traditional aikido will take a lot of time to practice, it will be disappointing at first, but will reward you in the end. "Real aikido" and other schools of aikido that make it faster and more violent will help you directly, but imo disorient you from the overall target: those who practice aikido prefer to walk away from fights, but if a fight is to be done, they end it instantly and do so without hurting the attacker

  • @jarheadtsm Learn kickboxing and how to defend takedowns?

  • @MIGmany i noticed one crutial flaw in this technic if the guy chose to dodge in stead of grapple he would have had a greater chance you dont have to block you can also sidestep or duck in this case he just screwed up so bad it doesnt matter what he knew

  • @jarheadtsm Yes :] the beauty of aikido is that you don't have to be strong to utilize these techniques and defend yourself. That's why 70 year old aikido masters can still kick our butts haha

  • @jarheadtsm look in to Wing Tsun for that =)

  • thx for the videos. Im a practitioner in saskatoon they will help me with my training :D

  • thx for the videos. Im a practitioner in saskatoon they will help me with my training :D

  • haha armbars for aikido

  • Great......

  • Physically, when he says "Extend my energy" he means, 'use your weight' or 'lean o him'.

  • No, I mean extend your intent...put your focus through the technique. Nothing mystical, simply focus your intentions. Weight and strength only go so far my friend.

  • @garyboazproductions i love your videos i am a police foundations student in college training to be a police officer in Canada and they teach us aikido takedowns in the academy ive been self teaching my self using your videos and books and finally now i have time ive finally started classes now on break and honestly understanding the basics goes along way i stayed inside one day and watched this video 14 hours not straight but then a friend and i went out bday celeb 3 guys were bothering a

  • @garyboazproductions girl politely asked them to stop then 4-5 m away a charge of drunken rage 3 men charging me( when fighting angry blind man its best to stay out of the way) sort to speak they destroyed them self i never touched them once other then tegatana irimi, tegatana tenken, uke nagashi tenken, and uke nagashi irimi ok and mune tski waza hiji garmi 1 time to restrain for me friend to run i hope you make more: argato sensei
