We have now come out with the micro FourThirds System, the Olympus PEN wherein even a Canon, Nikon, etc can use the Olympus PEN with an Adaptor. Pls check it out. We & Panasonic were the 1st to introduce a mirrorless camera, and following are other brands.

you've solved dust problem, but ISO and 4/3 sensor are still big prob.
