Absolutely right 8x10or10x12! Even if it does achieve nothing (and I actually believe there is a chance Whoners might get reinstated) I think it is still very important to state ones opinion. That's what communication, and therefore YouTube, is for. It's not just so we can state the opinions of ours that will have an actual effect on the state of things. If that were the case, most of us would be silent most of the time.

Well, if he violated a copyright, I understand they must take action, as we are warned when we prepare to upload a vid. However, I dont think the punishment fits the crime. He took it down right ? Its not like he tried to upload more copyrighted material did he ? So why not give him a second chance, even ball players can get 3 strikes before their out and that doesnt last the whole game. Perhaps this is a temporary ban, maybe for a few weeks or a month, they shouldnt ignore him however.

It's an open question whether some of these suspensions are a vendetta (seems unlikely) or an auto-reaction to a complaint. Given youtube doesn't make much money on the low and midrange tubers it seems that such suspensions are a non-issue for them. That you'd get a reply where whoners did not is appalling though. I think their code is buggy and they don't know what the bugs are, and are probably getting overwhelmed with such communications without interest in reviewing each case. Bah.
