  • Awesome! =D

  • Im a fan of both radiohead and weezer. I love the original song done by radio head, but weezer did a really good job of this song. Awesome job guys.

  • Weezer-head!!!!

  • 42

  • ooh yeah, and Radiohead, for sure!

  • I love you, Weezer.

  • Who's the third guitarist?

  • @ItsReallyBright The third guitarist in Patrick Wilson, the drummer. Yes, he has been weezer drummer for almost 20 years, but now he's playing guitar...

  • @mentedemente14 Oh... who's the drummer then?

  • @ItsReallyBright Josh Freese is the drummer. He's not part of the band, he's just the touring drummer.

  • @mentedemente14 Thanks.

  • Good job Weezer.

  • I clicked on this because I'm a fan of both Radiohead and Weezer. I had to listen to it twice, it's that good.

  • Wow. Love Weezer, love Radiohead. I wouldn't have expected Weezer to attempt to cover this song, it is a considerable challenge to master at the level that they have here. Very impressed. Not quite Jonny Greenwood, but who is? Nice job fellas.

  • i also like the black and white vid

  • i visit this song daily. The song has everything i need to jam out. I actually hit replay a few times. I suppose i'll get burned out eventually. Until then, great way to star the day, or the night out.

  • Phew, for a minute there,I lost myself.Minus the vocals, they played this pitch perfect. If Thom Yorke was singing it would have passed for the original.

  • Love it!!

  • Great song , great cover,,

  • Anybody see the tags?

  • @ItsReallyBright yeah XD

  • Eb? Classic Weezer. :)

  • Weezer's the cat pajamas.

  • voice sucks. thats it.

  • actually im really feelin this instrumental and the way theyve done it

  • personally i prefer thoms singing on it more... but i love this

  • Ah, he did the singing in a separate take, of course - stupid me.

  • AKG K240's for live monitoring...huh?

  • autotune . nivel max

  • Vocal melody is incredible. They do a pretty damn good job with this I think.

  • A cover is an homage to an artist... i think weezer did a very good cover of it :D.

  • I like Weezer ....good job ...but Radiohead is unique !!!

  • I don't know why everyone is comparing this to Radiohead...they're two very different bands...I thought this was a very good cover.

  • Josh Freese on drums? Can't go wrong with that.

  • it's refreshing to hear music covered as well as this :D

  • This is an amazing cover. Just imagine if York was there for the vocals too, what would that sound like? Wow!

  • I think maybe Thom's vocal range is better suited to this song. But opinions are like a**holes... Good job, Weezer for nailing the instrumentals.

  • @rthmjohn totally agree with you on that.

  • "It annoys me how pretty my voice is...that sounds incredibly immodest, but it annoys me how polite it can sound when perhaps what I'm singing is deeply acidic."

That's Thom Yorke talking about himself. Now he's very correct in saying that, which is why it's so frustrating to hear Rivers strip this song of all emotion vocally.

  • @SirBenjamin88 How's it that Rivers 'strip this song of all emotion vocally'?

  • @MidfieldMaestro21 Don't get me wrong, I love Weezer, and on a technical level Rivers is a great vocalist. But Thom's voice bleeds passion and it's hard to pull the same kind of emotion out of a Radiohead song like he does.

  • you could tell that thom was a better option for vocalz

  • anyone criticising this, i'd love to see your band fucking do it.

  • In this video I can't see competition: only good music from a good band covering another good band. No comparisons, only art. Don't forget that a cover is a tribute, not a provocation.

  • @blackmorestuff Well said, man.

  • @blackmorestuff A good band covering a bad band.

  • @Sage80 If you're not joking, then cut your dick off. Signed, everyone.

  • @Sage80 u mean a decent band covering a classic band

  • @blackmorestuff

haha taking the words from my mouth... it's not needed to find a 1st place amongst music, you can listen to it all - just not at once :)

  • Freese = The man.

  • This is cool but he needs to squint more......

  • Interesting, heartfelt, but unfortunately inferior to the original.

  • whats DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATT

  • I love weezer(up to like 97 anyways), and this is a good cover, but it's also a good reminder of what an incredible singer thom yorke is.

  • This cover is GREAT! And I will admit that I'm a huge Radiohead fanboy. I've seen RH several times, and even went to 1 of 9 shows for Thom Yorke's solo album in the US, in which they gave the band a name, Atoms for Peace. I was a fan of Weezer at one point, they just didn't stick with me like other bands. And all you RH fans that scream and criticize about this cover should keep it to themselves and miss the spirit and open mindedness of Radiohead completely. I'm going to listen to this again.

  • Awesome cover! I'm a huge fan of both bands

  • Excellent cover, I personally don't like the lead singer

  • Comment removed

  • whats this!

  • @Tkessify You're seeing and hearing it, aren't you?

  • I wish he said there instead of thAre.. however my favorite part (the second half) after the solo was sick.

  • Radiohead fans are honestly one of the worst fanbases in the world. They're just a bad muse anyway.

  • @Darryrirch Well that's just your opinion, man

  • @Darryrirch You obviously mean Muse are a bad Radiohead. Get your facts straight.

  • @Darryrirch yourself are the example of why Radiohead fanbase is one of the most loathables fanbases out there. well, they're just a bad Sigur Ross anyway.

  • Only In Dreams, Pig, and all of Pinkerton >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Paranoid Android.

I had to say it. It's true. I love Radiohead AND Weezer, but you pretentious Radiohead fanatics need to get a life and accept that there are other bands out there besides Radiohead.

  • Who would dislike this cover? Love it!

  • i have a new respect for weezer now

  • Oi ! douchebags who don't like this cover. fuck off. its a cover. its not supposed to be the original, its supposed to be different and have the other bands opinions voiced. personally I fucking hate radiohead. no hate, just not for me. I love this song tho, its a beauty (the original) this cover does a better job at making the breakdown heavier, and more intense, as i always thought it should be. kudos Weezer. you fucking rock!

  • It's hard to beat the original. But not bad.

  • i grew up playing and listening to metal,rock/blues.later i found a much bigger blend of tastes and styles. This RH song is a great, well written, epic and rock'n song all in one. I think the weezer cover, is as close of a cover, as one would WANT to get. these guys knocked it out of the park without the RH style, which i find to be kinda relaxed (maybe its the vocals?) This version is more straight to the point.RH has a more well rounded blend of riffs and vocals. By the way,not a weezer fan.

  • I can only say that my love for this song overides the amount of hate you youtube haters have. Both insanely great bands and to weezer to do this song is just fucking brilliant

  • TBH, I think this cover is amazing.

Stop the hate, if you came to listen to Paranoid Android, listen. Simple as that. The amount of people using difference as an excuse to bash other people's opinions is disgusting.

God, chill. Weezer fans, go listen to Weezer.

Radiohead fans, go listen to Radiohead.

I'm a fan of both, and I'm not trolling and saying how crap Weezer is at covering a song.

    Fuck. Chill. Live.

  • I actually like it alot. Maybe you guys should start trying to cover this song so that you can realize how hard is it.

  • This is an excellent cover. It still has a cool weezer vibe. Awesome.

  • why the fuck is everyone bashin weezer. they did a great damn cover a of a great song. fucking faggots if you dont like weezer or radiohead then why the fuck are you here?

  • @69cooolbeans I keep looking in the comments after the bashing you talk about, but I have not yet found one single negative comment. Where is the bashing? Why should even someone bash Weezer? Radiohead fans tend to be Weezer fans aswell.

  • I started crying on 00:30, and had to go to the ER because my ears where bleeding!!

  • ACTA is Gonna Get you!!!

  • Here's how you cover Radiohead and keep it interesting

    tinyurl dot com/7w8qkk3

  • I don't REALLY like this cover. It isn't bad, but they don't give anythign particularly new to the piece, so it just kinda sounds like Radiohead with a slightly poorer performance. But hey, Weezer are a great band in their own right, and I can't really fault any fans playing tributes to a favourite. And they made a great job of the outtro solo, I'll say that.

  • How can anyone see this for anything but for what it really is this is Weezer giving props to the radiohead clan!!! So Frigin cool!!!! Weeezer loves radiohead I love both groups both are good at what they do!!!! what a great tribute!!!!!

  • wats daaaaaaaat

  • it doesn't work. stick to buddy holly guys.

  • @TheFantasticCorndog I say something similar every time I hear Radiohead doing a cover.

  • Love it. especially with josh freese on drums.

  • I'm surprised Weezer is capable of playing more than 4 chords in one song

  • I still think the "rain down" section is the best part. No matter what band does it.

WHATS THAAAAAAAAT???? WHATS DAAAAAAADDY???? WHAAAAT THE HELL!!!!! xD!!!!

  • I'm sure Thom would take this as a compliment

  • Comment removed

  • Weezer es un asco! no le llega ni a los talones a Thom! y bueno los músicos si tocan bien pero aun les falta muchísimo para compararse con RH. I love RH

  • when a band with the credentials of weezer covers a band like radiohead, for example, artistic license is granted. I really couldn't imagine a more perfect inflection of styles than this has accomplished. love both, and challenge radiohead to do as much.

  • i love Weezer, but i dont think River's voice fits the song.

  • @fudgiepoopie It fits perfectly. This is weezer. Not radiohead.

  • @zrouth well yeah haha no shit. this cover is great, dont get me wrong here. but his voice doesnt really.. hmm.. match up? guess i could say.

  • As a Radiohead fan, I object to these lyrics being pronounced so clearly.

  • I like weezer and RH!! (have both their music on my playlist) but his voice did not fit.

  • I dont really like Weezer that much, but this sounded awesome

  • Actually this is a good cover, better than I thought. BTW Weezer was amazing in the 90s, I wish they and Matt Sharp could still be making albums like Blue and Pinkerton. I don't listen to almost nothing of 2000's Weezer.

  • Weezer is shit

  • It's kinda sad that this has more views than most of Weezer's actual songs. Apparently any band that has the audacity to cover Radiohead must face the wrath of their armies of rabid, cover-hating fans

  • I loved it right up to the guitar solo. It made me want to cry.

  • I love radiohead and Weezer, but this wasn't the best song for weezer to cover, something off the bends would've worked better. This is still really good though, except for RC saying 'that' when I'm sure TY says 'this' in the song.

  • @willscomix Thom Yorke says "there"

  • Tres coooool boyz. I'm impressed.

Wouldn't mind jammin sometime. If ur into it

  • I'd love to hear Radiohead covering Only in dreams. The song is great but i think Radiohead could make it so much better.

  • As both a huge Weezer fan and a huge Radiohead fan, gotta say this was exactly what I wanted to hear from a cover of my favorite Radiohead song by my favorite band. Very excellent cover.

  • I may be paranoid but im not a android.. -_-.....

  • vocals could have been better, but overall great cover! :D

  • Ok @daneckenrode let's see you sing this song. And if radio head is one of your favorite bands you have a horrible taste in music therefore you sir are gay

  • The song starts, the guitar kicks up, I start getting into it, the vocal starts, WTF IS THIS???, I pause the song, I vow to never listen to this crap again. It's funny because Radiohead's my favorite band of all time, and I enjoy some Weezer here and there.

  • Comment removed

  • I thought the guitar was honestly better than the original. Other than that it kind of paled to RH's version, but it was still a great cover.

  • As a huge Radiohead fan since the dawn of days, I'd like to apologise for the rather arrogant and Weezer bashing comments. If there's one thing I learnt from attending loads of Radiohead gigs by now is that the majority of their fans are pretentious and bohemian idiots who think that nobody has the audacity to touch RH song not realising that RH themselves have covered songs in the past (Neil Young, Blondie and more). Gosh, get over yourselves and stop giving us RH fans a bad name.

  • @cheapnonsmoker haha great comment

  • @cheapnonsmoker As a non-arrogant, bohemian however massive Radiohead fan. Its still not the greatest cover ever. Its pretty mediocre to be honest.

  • @slash1994 That's fair enough. It's certainly not my favourite cover, either and there's nothing wrong with different tastes as such. It's the up your nose attitude of some Rh fans thinking that RH is untouchable and ought not to be covered and any attempt whatsoever is bad, is that I have a problem with. On this video and other RH-covers I noticed some of these comments.

  • @cheapnonsmoker : I can't tell you how much I agree with your comment. RH fans really think nothing else compares to RH. I've actually heard a few saying Pink Floyd or Led Zepplin could never reach the musical complexity of RH. Really???? I mean I agree RH are freaking amazing, but know your limits!!

  • @themiko48 I love Radiohead, but Pink Floyd in their prime could play any Radiohead song, maybe even better than Radiohead, and I would pay money to see it

  • @Bluealein56 thats such a dumb comment one is progressive and one is alternative its apples to oranges

  • Don't see what all hate is about. Weezer rocks. Radiohead rocks. This song rocks. Live with it.

  • fucking hell yeah !

  • So many newfag radiohead fans, most who are unaware that alongside nirvana weezer and radiohead were hand in hand as 2 of the most interesting bands on the radio during the 90s, Weezer are absolutley within their rights to cover this song

  • @CliffRichardsPissSac Only newfags use the word "newfag". But really, I have not seen any negative comments, but if someone did not like this, they are no Radiohead fans.

  • Comment removed

  • I love Weezer (well, back when they were good), and I love Radiohead. That being said, this is just clearly not a cover that needed to happen.

  • Is it "what's that?" or "what's there?". Cos I've always said "there" hehe

  • this is tragic

  • The laughter at the end of the song is to remark that they're doing this cover have fun and mess around. Still, the vocals sound extremely gay

  • @Fabio9x The original vocal doesn't?

  • The difference is that Weezer could not think up this song.

  • @weeweeeewee Yeah, it's one hell of a song.

  • @weeweeeewee Incorrect.

  • @weeweeeewee but does it better

  • i know weezer , well love their song , but i dont know i dont have any guts to play it more and reload -_- . Still radiohead are the best

  • Comment removed

  • wierd..but interesting

  • i love weezer but the vocalls are crap and the drummers are wrong the origanal drumer only does half time on the hi hat

  • @123ycart it's a cover. if u wanna compare with the original, you might as well attack the lead guitars. anyone who covers radiohead and does a better than decent job should be respected. weezer, you have my respect.

  • @controvesorry if this is better than decen job, then decent job really sux

  • The music rocks, the vocals are shit. Weezer, please stick to the vocally non-threatening songs that you're famous for.

  • what's that?...apart from the purposely sung wrong lyric, a damn fine cover.

  • this is pretty beast!

  • camera work is quite annoying tbh

  • nice try... it's good that weezer's knows that radiohead is radiohead.... respect because of it...

  • nice try but idk..

  • i love radiohead and weezer, double win!!

  • drummer on guitar weiird

  • Excelent Cover ! ... realy cool

  • great job!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'd prefer them cover songs like this for the rest of eternity over writing anything else along the lines of "Beverly Hills"

  • @icu812yum That song rocks. Don't listen to Weezer if you want to hear Radiohead.

  • I think this is a beautifully done cover. I applaud you Weezer

  • actually this isn't that bad. I kind of like the more muscular drum sound on this recording and the overall more live feel- the original is a masterpiece but many people I think take the super clean production too seriously

  • weezer still sux .....this is the only good song they ever did ..... and cant even cover it well..

  • @bangs43 stfu u dont even know the skill weezer has. go learn music

  • HEY RIVERS, MATT WAS RIGHT.

  • i really have to give weezer respect points for this one. they simply just did a great job. radiohead is my all time favorite band. this song being my favorite. and i honestly think this is just brilliant and great music at the same time. good choice and well done weezer

  • Josh Freese up in this bitch.

  • I was watching this on my ipod and i thought itwas going crazy!!?

  • This is fucking brilliant...

  • 5:37 HOW ARE YOU GUYS APPARENTLY THAT CHILLED?!?

  • why is daaat good, to cover a song full like the original? I mean it's well done but I don't understand

  • What's daaaat. :3

  • perfect cover, they must be proud of this

  • not bad. I was skeptical, but Rivers pulled through. Too bad he sold old. Thom never did.

  • @PabstBlueGibbon hmm. the typo was unintentional, but in a strange way, it still made sense.

  • 3:38 what is my life
